@zelda64oot: Personally with those odds I would say no, as interesting as the idea sounds, having a 95% chance of leading a normal life with the only major change being more likely to get seriously injured/killed by others with super powers doesn’t really seem tempting.

@aztek_the_lost: So you are totally fine with the “Death by Snu-Snu”?

Agent X and the rest of the Agency X group would easily translate into an anime adaption. The designs wouldn’t require a lot of tweaking and the characters could really embrace the over the top action and the wacky humor commonly found in most anime.

I’m guessing half the point of Mini Muggs is how “simple” they are, that said I think each one could use one more color on it.

Thank you for replying to this and for helping answer my question.

I asked the question because I’m interested in the comics, but do not own any of them yet.

I entered both contests Comicvine had for the comics, and quite a few user entries for the recent Artifacts contest mentioned the Wheel granting time travel including a winning entry. My impression based on the information on its item page, the name of the item itself, and what you’ve said seem to imply that that its main ability is time manipulation over what is in the shadow and very little to no actual time travel for the user.

Honestly after time skip Alucard probably shouldn’t be in any battle given the fact that he lives as long as he thinks he does.

The Comicvine article says it can manipulate the age of whatever is in its shadow does the Wheel also allow the user to manipulate time in general?

I’ve never really been a big fan of characters changing their Identities or taking on another person’s identity. There have been plenty of situations or reasons created that explain the changes, whether it’s for avoiding enemies or carrying on the legacy of other characters it always seems kind of weird. The identities of the characters are supposed to be important to the characters but it seems like there is always someone who is willing to ditch their identity. I guess it’s because they spend all this time more or less as one character building an identity or reputation and then they seem to drop it without a second thought. You would think they would at least struggle with the idea of losing part of themselves.

That said at least Ms. Marvel has history with Captain Marvel and she’s not a character who just happens to have similar powers.

Gambit is probably the one X-men character, that I’m missing, that I would really want to add to my collection.

If I could choose any of the thirteen artifacts I would probably choose the Wheel of Shadows. The real appeal of the Wheel of Shadows (to me anyway) is that while it may not turn the wielder into a walking juggernaut/one man army like most of the other items it seems to have the biggest range of possibilities. Many of the other items also seem to have a related artifact that exists to counter it (i.e. Angelus/Darkness and Glacier/Ember) the Wheel of Shadows is sort of unique in that it has the two opposite abilities. While it may not be the strongest in direct combat the ability to accelerate or reverse the aging process is a great power that can be used both as an offense and a defense. If the Wheel is used in an effective way it can be used to help others (and the user) in ways the other artifacts can’t.
