Favorite Heroes

And they say

That a hero could save us

I'm not gonna stand here and wait

I'll hold on to the wings of the eagles

Watch as we all fly away

These guys are heroes, pure and simple. They are the knights in shining armor, farmers that is sent into a quest to save the world, the warriors, the protectors and the saviors. They fight for honor, they fight for justice, they fight for those they hold dear. These are my favorite heroes :)

List items

  • "There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the way. Choose your own way! Do not follow me, or anyone else."

Never has a video game character inspired such admiration as Ezio did. He is without doubt, my favorite video game protagonist ever.

  • Luke is the living, walking hero archetype is not even funny.

  • "Krypton bred me, but it was Earth that gave me all I am. All that matters. It was Krypton that made me Superman...but it is the Earth that makes me human!"

Superman is the greatest superhero ever. I know this for a fact.

  • "If I am to sacrifice myself so there would be peace, so be it."

Ezio's ancestor is just as heroic and badass as he is.

  • I know some fans go a little overboard and he has been over-exposured in recent media, but I still love Batman as a hero nonetheless.

  • In any other circumstances, Aragorn would have been the hero of Lord of the Rings. He is the long-lost heir of the kingdom and the leader against the forces of evil... Except in the story, he is more of a supporting character.

  • You are an honest and honourable man, Lord Eddard. It should have been you in the Iron Throne all along.

  • The King in the North. Robb is his father Ned's son. He is just as honor-bound, honest and kind man. Interestingly, Robb was more of a supporting character in the books, he never got his own POV. His story arc was observed through his mother Catelyn Stark's POV, while in the TV show, he was upgraded to main character and gained larger focus too.

  • Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet.

  • "If I'm to choose between one evil and another... I'd rather not choose at all."

Geralt is a Witcher - a monster hunter. As it turns out, the worse monsters are some of the humans themselves.

  • Regardless of his incarnation (except DC Comics and God of War), his name is synonymous to hero.

  • Just read Badass of the Week entry xD www.badassoftheweek.com/atreides.html

  • Arthur Pendragon, son of Uther. Pulled out the Sword out of the Anvil and ruled the kingdom of Camelot.

  • #goku#be#praised.

  • Driven by his desire to protect his loved ones, Ichigo accepts the burden of becoming a Soul Reaper to hunt down the hollows, preying on the souls of both living and dead.

  • Part Man. Part Vampire. All Hero.

  • Matrix: Path of Neo is one of my favorite video games of all time and almost criminally underrated. I once did a Neo cosplay and fought against Ghostface from Scream.

  • I will be the first to admit, he does get overly exposed compared to the other X-Men... But I really love Wolverine.

  • Like most RPG games you can play your protagonist as a good guy or bad guy, I play Revan mostly as a good guy in KOTOR. It feels more rewarding being the hero.

  • How can you hate this badass demon-hunter... Unless if the redesign set you off that is...

  • Yes, Dante's Inferno!Dante counts too.

  • Behold... ROBOT JESUS!

  • Even if he isn't as heroic as others in this list, Alucard is sure badass.

  • Even the Castlevania one... Hell he is voiced by Robb Stark in the Lords of Shadow continuity.
