Rude people over at Comic Book Resources

IM so glad this forum has such nice people. I had an account at the Comic Book Resources forum and about 25% of the people that are apart of those forums are rude. They think that bashing something over and over again is an opinion. It really ticks me off. Its happened on multiple occasions where theres someone that enters a forum and talks smack. How can such rude people be fans of Super heroes? Doesnt every super hero fan ask themselves what would Superman do? Or what would Captain America do? ....COMICVINE FOR LYFE!

Maybe they are fans of villains and ask them self what would Deadpool say in this situation hmmmmmmm

its because the majority of them are sad and lonely, and clearly spend way too much time on a comic book website.

@HydraPool:  haha. maybe.

@doordoor123: To act pretentious over comics is easily the most ironic thing ever.

I have never been, I guess I will never go.  I guess CV fits the 'elite comic book website' niche

i never been on the CBR forums but I only go on their website for comic book news. But I agree CV has such a nice community of people. LOVE COMIC VINE!!

I would have to disagree. Seriously? All websites have those types of people, and I know CBR has a lot of extremely kind and nice people, fun, relaxed and laid back types, and I wouldn't feel right lumping them in with the overly critical and negative posters that site also has. Ironically once at CBR I saw them with a thread like this talking smack about people at the Marvel website and at the Marvel website they had a thread about the Newsarama boards, and I have not been to the Newsarama boards so... but I would guess... oh and at CBR i think I have seen some negative posts about posters here being immature etc so I just don't think its fair to assign percentages for sites, I mean CBR and CV both have like over 1000 posters. I mean way more than that, I am trying to think of "regulars" and do you literally know like about 200 people roughly that well to make a judgement call? I know a few CV posters who have said some horribly rude, racist, sexist things and thats just me! (lol) but I wouldn't want all the nice and kind people here lumped in with my actions, or the actions of the few. People bash and criticize things here all the time too, each other, books, writers, and not constructively. Criticism itself is not a bad thing, criticism improves things, when its done right. Hey man, I criticize your parenting by denying your child food? Feed them etc (absurd example sure)

So the names of comic sites don't matter, its the people, and I know a lot of cool people there and a lot more people here I like more (hence why I am here more much more proportionately)

If this is a rah rah CV is great type thread, then count me in! CV is awesome. That doesn't mean other sites are all that bad with mean and horrible communities. Doesn't it feel just a tiny bit weird too talking about another site behind its back? I'd probably make this thread at CBR if I felt that way or make this more of a CV is awesome thing.

CyberNinja's Journal:

Trolls keep increasing in comicvine, some start stupid threads like "how black are you?", and cry out for attention. All the trolls will look up and shout "Please feed me a cookie"... and I'll look down and whisper "No."

Then report them.   CBR has good and bad.   Their battle board is horrible.

Um, excuse me.  :p

Be good.

CV battle threads are better than them all but it seriously lacks proper discussion with regards to storylines.

Posted by ssejllenrad

CBR is not that bad. We can't just judge the whole by a rotten few. 25% of em being rude is a huge number but still not a majority. With that said Comicvine is still 200 Quintillion times better... :D

CV has a pretty good group.

Are you looking at me? **** you! EVERYONE SUCKS! RARGH!

(Obviously kidding).

Actually Comicvine's battle forums need some fine-tuning as well.

Now for rude comic book forums the worst by far is KMC Forums/ Killer Movie Forums.

They need to fix that site or shut it down.
