My 21st Birthday

Today is my 21st birthday. YAY!

I went drinking last night at a club and got kicked out for letting my friend hold my drink. He didn't even drink it. It was so stupid. Later I bought some alcohol for the first time; which was really weird because it just felt so wrong but it was SO right. My friends and I took it back to my place where we got DRUNK. Not hang over drunk though. I only had beer and I didn't want to mix. Tonight ill be doing some hard sh*t. I'm pretty excited. LETS GET F*CKED UP! :)

NYCC rumor: Jerry Ordway returning to comics

Jerry Ordway is known for his Adventures of Superman and Powers of Shazam series. He will show up at New York Comic-Con on Friday and Saturday but will be at a panel only on Saturday. Is this news for Captain Marvel? Or maybe its just news that he's returning to comics. Well have to wait and see.

COUNTDOWN: DC's 52 sales countdown

This is how DC sold each of their 52 comics in the month of September. It surprises me to see a lot of these great comics near the bottom and bad comics near the top. Comic fans are so closed-minded. Thats beside the point though. What do you guys think about this? What do you think will get cancelled first? Hopefully this changes by next month. Im kind of glad that they still all ended up beating some of Marvels heavy hitting books.

I DONT Understand what Marvel is DOING.

"We have September’s figures in for page counts versus price for Marvel titles. It’s been noted that more and more Marvel titles have dropped to 20 pages, even those marked at $3.99 instead of $2.99."

-Bleedingcool.com

Why are they doing this in the middle of DC's relaunch? I thought their whole answer to DC's cheaper comics was that they had more pages...GUESS NOT.

I think the Marvel fans can agree with me that Quesada running things over there isn't a very good idea. What do you guys think?

DC's NEW 52 - Im pissed off

I know there are people who dislike certain creators and styles but a lot of these comics have been really good or at least interesting. A lot of the books I wanted to be great weren't as great and a lot of the books really surprised me and have become my favorite books of the relaunch. I disagree with a lot of ComicVine's reviews because I do think some of these books aren't for everyone but every book is worth a try. I tried Batwing, Hawk and Dove, OMAC, Superboy and Detective Comics thinking I wasn't going to like them and those books ended up being my favorite books of the relaunch so far. It pisses me off to see people who haven't read books like OMAC or Hawk and Dove putting down the book. Or if it just wasn't for them they dis the book and make it seem horrible. I didn't like Green Arrow (Comicvine seemed to like it) and I don't go around flaunting it and telling everyone not to pick it up because its a bad book. Not all of these books are for everyone. All I ask is for you readers to respect the property. Don't turn a cold cheek to every book. Try them before you decide if you like them or not. And if you don't like them, don't tell others not to read them and don't bash the book. I understand that its your opinion and freedom of speech and yada yada yada, but you're hurting the chance for some of these people to find books that they like. Secret Six had its own audience and I think all the rest of these books deserve a chance to find their own readers. Let the backlash begin!
