Empire City, we have a problem!

Right now there's 3 locations for "Empire City" for at least 4 different publishers (and universes):

  • Empire City #1 (DC*, Dark Horse, 9 tags and counting)
  • Empire City #2 (Image Comics plus unknown publisher that might be DC or IGN, 4 tags)
  • Empire City #3 (Legendary Comics, 1 tag)

So there's 2 different comics called Infamous that are already associated with 2 different Empire City's although it should be the same. The first mini-series is based on the video game. The newly added issue is a reprint (DC?) of the prequel to the first series that was published as an online comic by IGN.

I associated Dark Horse's The Escapist to the most tagged Empire City instead of adding just another new (fourth) location with the same name. In The Escapist it's a fictional city that resembles New York as well, but is not underground. In Frank Miller's Holy Terror Empire City is used as alias for New York, too; also not underground. Found this image.

Ideally, we merge these 3 pages into 1 and add a few paragraphs for each publisher/universe with a short description. What do you think, @pikahyper and everybody else?

So shall I re-tag the other issues using Empire City #1 and then ask to delete the other 2?

OMG! GA gets better and better...

I just checked the solicits for the upcoming issues on dccomics.com. One of my favorite, very underrated DC characters and villains will debut in the New52 and make a major appearance in GA starting with #22:

COUNT VERTIGO

Awesome @Lemire!

As long as Lemire and Sorrentino will keep up their great work and excite me with this title, I will come back here month after month and thank you for pushing me to pick it up. Just read this truly amazing issue! The overall story is very intriguing and I can't wait for Magus' answers and where the Stellmore story is going?

And those colors! Using a limited amount of carefully selected bright colors with black-and-white panels is so wow - stunning!

Thanks again for another great review and everything,

@k4tzm4n

Hawkguy and Green Arrow. Two of my favorite books right now!

... and Saga! My three favorite books, and then everything Valiant.

Demon Knights, Frankenstein, OMAC and I, Vampire we hardly knew thee.

Yup. Plus Mister Terrific and Voodoo. All these interesting titles get cancelled, and then DC give us more Bats, Supes, and all that JL stuff. Soon it'll be like Marvel where every comic has to have some sort of connection to A&X's.

I will admit when the 2011 reboot occurred I looked at the cover of Demon Knights and though "nah. not my style". A week later, the next comic book day, I run in and grab a copy as I had listen to someone praise the book being one of the shining gems to come out of the confused muddle of the DC reboot, and since then I was hooked.

...

The new-52 (or as it stands now with these cancellations the "we've lost control of everything-45")

Me, too ... LOL!

Goodbye, my favorite Demon and knights! May your souls rest in peace.

Right now, they're both great comics with exciting stories and amazing art work! Hawkeye may have the edge because of the unique setup and atmosphere, as well as mostly ignoring all that superhero and superpowers stuff.

Hawkeye was a boring character until Fraction made him funny. GA in the New52 was unbearable until Lemire took over. Lemire's first arc The Kill Machine was brilliant and I can't wait for more (there's still so many unanswered questions that need answers @Magus)... from both comics.

Now I know he's not doing superhero comics anymore but I would love to see Brubaker on writing and Jock on art.

That would be the dream team!

Writer - Andy Diggle
Artist - Jock... or Tradd Moore - I love his art in Luther Strode; especially the brutal action.
