Female Comic Book Writers and Artists
By DonFelipe 45 Comments
Why this list? Unfortunately there is no easy way to browse and find female creators on Comicvine unless you already know who you are looking for. This list provides an overview of all the female talents from A to Z, by their given names, and some of their most recent and previous works. The link on the creators' names point to the wiki page that shows all the comics they are associated with.
Women in Comics concept: I know there is a difference between the female creators writing and drawing comic books and all the female heroes and villains appearing in these books but this concept is as close as it gets.
Searching: If you are looking for some name or comic book title simply use your web browser's search function. You can also find creators by a certain comic era and period they were active in: Golden Age (~1930-55), Silver Age (~1955-70), Bronze Age (~1970-85), 1980s, 1990s, 2000s.
Nationalities: All the artists and writers are Americans unless otherwise mentioned although this piece of information may not always be accurate. Let me know if there is a mistake and someone's nationality is indeed different.
Manga: All Mangaka are Japanese unless otherwise mentioned. Most of the manga books are created, written, and illustrated by only one comic artist, the Mangaka, unless otherwise mentioned. Where possible their works are linked to the English language versions.
