The lack of a character who wasn't even in Days of Future Past, that being the aforementioned Emma Frost, is a non issue. Also Sara, you may want to consider re reading the source, as I'm certain we don't see Cyclops in it at all. If memory serves, there is one panel within the comic which shows him as being deceased. Great book, to me at least
As always, this comes down to how much preparation time Batman has. If he has enough time to study Wolverine, his combat style, healing factor, etc., then Batman could win. If it's just a random, Hello I'm Batman, Hello I'm Wolverine encounter then I see no hope for The Dark Knight. Preparation is the key here.
As Wolverine had a rather large role in the movie, I'd say it was only appropriate to include him. Days of Future Past stands as one of the best stories in the X Men universe, if not comics entirely
I have seen instances, coming directly from actors within the movie, who indicate that Gary Mitchell will be the villain. Looks very, very interesting.
Goodbye, Karen Berger. You will be praised for what you have done in the comics world with all your work on Vertigo. It is sad that DC has further enacted the death knell of that imprint. So many great titles over the years such as Sandman, Y: The Last Man, Hellblazer....I simply do not know what DC is attempting to do anymore.
