Far away from all the death in destruction that was to come the pendent from the beginning of our tale landed with a clang. A single figure walked up to the pendent, the figure’s metal frame creaking as it when. The Machine scanned the pendent and released a gasp. The King of Demons was free once more. The Machine flipped though it’s mental database, searching for someone who could control the pendent, soon a target was found. She was in the city, but far off, no doubt in the King’s path. The Machine would need to act quickly, and hope other could distract the Demon for the time being.
Avun smashed his way across the road, cars exploded in his wake, fires spread all around him killing all those who came too close to the King of Demons. He laughed off the police as they arrived, desperately shooting at him. Most of their bullets melted before they could even reach their target and those few that did hit seemed to have no effect. Avun gave grinned and pointed his blade at the small force in his way, then he rushed forward slicing through the nearly cop. Waves of flames raised from below the police cars, causing them to flying into the air exploding and raining shrapnel down on the nearby civilians. “Is this your warriors!? Your heroes!?” Avun bellowed as he sliced through the remaining cops. “It seems the world has become weak in my absence.” He snarled. “Good.” And then he continued on his path of destruction once more.
