Emma just was a minor role in the movie, I think whether JJ's performance was good or not did not make the difference.

In ANXM #6 we all know the Cuckoos was trying to contact her; and there was another one who was saying "Emma" in her/his mind. In Age of Ultron Emma is going to team up with Beast and Wolverine… it takes place after UXM #2, which the mole will be revealed.
