@teerack: They aren't Batman movies. I have a fundemental issue with a Batman who quits being Batman after 8 months because the girl that he was going to stop being Batman for anyways dies. Also, without the metahuman presence, Batman can't be as special as he actually is by being the most dangerous "man" on the planet. In Nolan's "real world" he's just James Bond in a cape. I hope they find a way to make a legit JL Batman...
I rather enjoy this version of Spiderman. Maybe its because I have been bored with the character of Peter Parker for quite some time, and this concept has kept things fresh. I'm not beholden to the same-ol same-ol.
I always get bothered by stuff like the long pause thing. Somewhat relevant to that is profuse dialogue during a battle. Shut up and fight! You can talk after you're both exhausted. Its one thing to keep repeating "put on the glasses" like during the alley fight in "They Live", but these comic book characters have entire therapy sessions while duking it out. Silly.
Definitely a shame about Demon Knights and Dial H. Then again, some of these books would fare better with shorter stories that have a beginning and an end within 12-24 issues. It would be nice if every book wasn't written to be an endless monthly.
Hasn't Bruce been through enough? I think maybe at this point he should just accept people other than him are going to die, and to just run with it. Embrace it. Become the Dark Knight! (again)
