Smallville: Reasons why it was Awesome and Lame

It is the end of Smallville, which I’m really really sad about, I’ve watched it since the beginning at 2001 as a kid (yep, I’m young), wondering when why none of this happened in the comics or the movies. I learned that they wanted to change it so much that they can see characters grow, which at my age made it suck, but it did rule most of the time. Here’s some reasons why it was awesome and lame.
Lame- Clark was a loser
Clark was had major doubts about himself not being able to live up to his "destiny" but on the show, the writers made him seem so freakin lame! Even Luke Skywalker knew what he had to do in a shorter amount of time.
Awesome- Clark was Relatable
Superman is one greatest superheroes ever, but its impossible to relate to him. Smallville made it seem that he is a regular teen with teen problems growing into the man he will become. As a teen he was like a majority of his fan base, super-nerdy! They managed to make his powers the best type of puberty/
Lame- To far from Comics
Okay this was one of my biggest complaints to the series, even though a show based on something may have a few changes to it, but they went crazy! They changed Lex's origins a lot by adding Lionel (but he was awesome, so I forgive them), putting most of Clark's various enemies before he gets his tights, Kryptonite mutants and in season 6 Lana Lang marring Lex! Really! With Kryptonite Powers, she's so not my Lana!
Awesome- Its becoming the Superman Mythology
The Show at season 10 won't be ending as a regular Superman Mythology, but its giving us plenty of new Superman mythology that has a life of its own with a new spin to Zod,JSA, Justice League, Superboy, and Lois Lane's knowing of Clark's double identity. A excellent show for new fans and old.
Lame- Not a full focus Clark story
The show's writers needed to stretch out the story, So When Green Arrow came in the picture, Clark's journey was slowed down for new characters like Doomsday, Lana and Lex, Chloe,Jimmy and Tess. Its Superman's origins people!
Awesome- So many DCU characters
This may be draw back to the series, but the heroes helped make the show a more serious superhero show. They included the big names like Aquaman, Green Arrow, Hawkman, and Flash. Even lesser knowns, who are made awesome like the Legion of Superheroes, Doctor Fate, and Cyborg. The Heroes helped Clark through his journey and he help heroes who would end up killing their villians.
Lame- Clark/Lois Relations
Clark and Lana were the teen part of Smallville's early days, which were how you say "complicated". Oh so much Drama! Clark inadvertently caused Lana's parents death, she wore a Kryptonite necklace, and lies and secret coming out and more lies on top of it. When Lana marries Lex and then leaves, and then comes back she came between a relationship starting with Clark and Lois. Lana was the torture of Clark's love life.
Awesome- Clark/Lois Relations
Clark an Lois is a grown, adult relationship. You knew at Chole's wedding that Clark and Lois were meant for each other. They had a professional relationship at that took its time to develop, but when Lois started to fall for Clark's "Blur" personality, while seh was in a relationship with Clark, that added two sided love triangle that works with every superhero nearly ever! Clark and Lois in Season 10 are the most supportive couple ever, I wish that it was in the comics.
Lame- No Batman!
Ok this problem was about lisenceing, which would have taken to long, but Clark has meet nearly everyone but not Batman or Wonder Woman, We have Green Arrow as a Batman filler, but hes no Batman! Batman is the ying to Superman Yang, they were meant for each other! There was no Wonder Woman filler, but come on Super-Lana? But at least Chole mantioned the two before she left, at least the are out there.
Awesome- Hes always been around
For nearly a decade, Clark has been saving his home town of Smallville for years, hes impacted the many heroes and characters with his actions and made the fans out there know who many common faces are, and the lesser known characters as they are. I think Smallville is one those adaptations that show how a superman tale should be told.
So what do you think? Was the show more awesome than lame, or vice versa?
