I wouldn't say that. What happens to Cap happens to Batman more often than not. Think of the last six years.

1) Batman dies in Final Crisis / Cap dies in issue #25 after Civil War

2) Dick Grayson becomes Batman, Bucky becomes Cap

3) Return of Bruce Wayne / Captain America Reborn.

4) the Cap & Bucky title changes to Iron Man, Hawkeye & Black Widow

Man I was psyched for this book when it first came out, but it's died down a bit, partially because Dexter Soy's been absent and the last couple issues haven't done it for me. Low key day-in-the-life stuff is needed now and then I guess but loosing her ability to fly seems meh. Plus my pet peeve that the majority of artists (besides Soy) wont draw the helmet (best part of the costume imo) or get her new hairstyle right.

Anyway, I had big hopes for Carol as Captain Marvel, hopes that a bigger role in the Marvel U would be given to her. S.W.O.R.D would be nice especially since she's part of it in the Avengers EMH, and it's an ideal setting to slip in space adventures as well. She is a semi-cosmic character after all. S.W.O.R.D it's all but forgotten these days in the Marvel Universe. Will Abigail Brand even make it to Marvel NOW?

I'll admit I was pessimistic when I heard about the crossover, a low sails indicator that could lead to the end of Captain Marvel book. While that may be true, the premise of the crossover is interesting, so I'll buy it as long as it keeps the book going. Then maybe she can move on to bigger things down the road...we'll see : )

Does anyone get the feeling Snyder has something to do with this? He's the new hotness, the superstar young gun that's killing it on Batman. So DC's gonna let him do whatever he wants? That's right, "2 years ago" : P

That's right DC. Money Talks, the fans have spoken......buuuutttt all I keep hearing is that this book is bad. Now if we get back Palmiotti and Grey I might give this another look.

If only it were true. Though I haven't read any of the material, but even if I did I'd still probably think he's a bad character.
