Well, this movie definitely has more action, suspense intrigue etc, which is to be expected. Now that the basics have been explained, time to turn things up a notch. Less Midgard. More of the other 9 Realms.
So what are the chances that SIF will help Loki in his inevitable double cross? If the plan involves taking Jane out of the picture (without killing her....maybe) and having Thor to herself.
well...I'd like the pre-Flashpoint DCU to return.....oh well
personally I don't know if I want any other character to return if this New52 will just mess them up......well unless they return under Geoff Johns
So under that condition, how about Magog? He's not a personal favorite but he was unique, at leas visually. I'd like to see what the "character doctor" can do for him.
@slimj87d: I highly doubt that Cap's gonna have different costumes for different missions. He's not Iron Man. Outside of his enhanced physical abilities, military training and the shield he doesn't need much else.
Well other than the minor peripherals he has in his belt. He does use them from time to time.
Exactly, he's not Iron Man. He's a soldier.
But I also want to bring up that the artist for this art we see above also draws the costumes for the action figure toyline and this could just be a promo for one of his toys.
The suit isn't very Captain America. It's modeled after a time where Steve decided not to be Captain America even. I don't see them going with it and I really hope they don't unless if they change the coloring.
$10 bucks says you're wrong : P
You're right, the suit isn't very Captain America, but you said it yourself, he's a soldier, a Super Soldier in fact and in the end maybe that's all that matters. I would have liked to see more of the original design and colors in the outfit as well but I think there's enough here to show that he represents America and I'm sure they'll still call him Captain America.
On a side note, remember Caps "Age of X" look? That's one of the first things that came to mind when I saw this costume, well the colors at least.

As great is this costume looks, it's how it looks on Evans that counts and I'm confident Marvel made sure it looked right.
Overall, this design looks like 2 parts "Super Soldier" and one part Cap's current (Jerome Opena) costume which is clearly shown in the pants and knee pads. Taking elements of the SS costume was something I never considered. I figured the Cap 2 design would be inspired by the Marvel Now, the First Avenger, and/or Captain Bucky costume (a left field choice I know). Using the Super Soldier costume elements was the best choice in terms of realistic feel. Too bad they couldn’t implement the “chain-mail” armor from the Opena costume.
The Bad? Well…the lower torso (abbs) looks weird. Since the red and white stripes were excluded, they should have redesigned that area entirely. Not sure about the color selection either. On one hand it’s the right tone for that realistic soldier look, but at the same time I feel they toned down the colors too much. If they tweaked it closer to blue it would be so bad.
Either way the color tone defiantly explains why the shield is so muted.
I highly doubt this is going to be the costume. It's pretty much the exact pattern as the super soldier uniform.
Oh this is the costume alright, if you look at the Chris Evans pic you can see he's wearing fingerless gloves. And this is the same artist behind those Avengers posters, so I'm sure he got it right.
