I think the big two could learn a lot from valiant. All of their events and cross overs have impact on characters, places, and populace in their universe. I wish more events had that kind of consequence
@adamtrmm: I have a problem of over thinking this stuff too.
I think that character development is important too, everyone should move forward, but it leaves way to much ambiguity for my tastes. I mean, Iceman is Omega, fine, but he is also immortal now? At this point I just don't see why he can't end every conflict.
@adamtrmm: Oh the first sentence was me implying that you give yourself too little credit for your knowledge. Secondly, I totally agree that his consciousness being bounded only to moisture is a way to control him. I mean, otherwise he could take control of everyone/everything.
@sky_fire: you are lying to yourself if you think that we, the fans, have any significant impact on Marvel outside of money. At this point they are so big and popular that they don't care about what the fans think, as long as it sells
@mark_stephen: They will know exactly why their sales were dropping if we all quit buying after this retcon. A lot of smart social scientists work for their marketing campaign, and they will come to the conclusion that theywriting and art have stayed the same, and that with their loss of sales other companies have seen an increase in sales. They would conclude that it was the story content, rather than the superficial aspects.
