Off-topic I'm a DC  guy but just got into Cap reading Captain America: Patriot....soooo good. I was interested in something good about Steve though...Where's the first image of this article from? and/or if anyone had some suggestions on some good Cap stuff...Period pieces like patriot or self contained minis...

I'd like the character appearance to be a bit more advance... 
 
namely I think it would be awesome if there were a character cross reference search... Like if I wanted to see all the books dick and babs were in together or Conner and Tim...I enjoy watching relationships form but sometimes it's difficult to catch all the appearances made together. 
 
I dont know if there is one but a filter would be nice...all the TPB volumes kinda clutter things up to me 
 
I think this would be kind of hard but maybe a more standardized character profile system... For example there is a batman page, a Bruce wayne page, and a dick grayson page which to me make sense...the there is a supergirl page that lumps like 6 versions of supergirl together which could also make sense...which i suppose could be fixed by viners... however now searching appearances of modern Kara Zor-El is cluttered by all the other supergirls and it would be difficult looking up nightwing appearances versus robin or batman... 
 
an advance search feature with like a [ "Blank" and "Blank"   or "Blank" as "Blank"] would be sweeeeeeet...

Ok so I kinda feel like you are looking at it from the wrong angle. Gender equality with reguards to comics doesn't really fall on the fact that there aren't as many female superheroes as there are male superheroes...it's all about the marketing....and I know I will probably catch flack for it but comics are predominently read by males, I couldn't find hard statistics but I found a few websites putting the numbers at about 90% male( http://comicsworthreading.com/2008/01/24/superhero-comic-readers-still-mostly-male/    ) The way you are looking at it you could say why doesn't Barbie have more Ken dolls... There are more male headliners because that's what demographics demand.  
 
Gender Equality in comic comes from the interactions within the comics, I feel that they have moved away quite a bit from the stereotypical women in distress to placing women in more powerful in the actual comic universe....I mean when was the last time Lois was a helpless bystandered.
