Cyclops and Frost are confirmed for Astonishing, so I doubt they will be gone. they had a killing field poster and those on it were listed as gone. with Storm and T'Challa a couple, it is doubtful they will kill her off. Shadowcat hasn't been mentioned at all, so I think she might have bought it in Astonishing, but since that is out of the mainstream it is unknown.

The big shocker for the messiah would be Sinister or Exodus.

traitor is someone unexpected, so that leaves all former enemies out. I am thinking the Beast

Cassandra Nova was the personification of evil. She messed up everyone. Emma Frost and the X-Men, the Hellfire Club. But is she dead or alive. In Astonishing, I think she was killed

My guess is that they wanted someone to be Cyclops opposite and you cannot get anymore different from Jean than Emma.

Well Jean was popular, very popular, but I have noticed that since she became mainstream, Emma Frost's popularity has skyrocketed as well. I huess Morrison couldn't work with two telepaths. One omega class and one metamorph.

just don't worry, if sales start to slide after MCX, Marvel will somehow find a way to bring Jean back

WOlverine is out of the equation. after Messiah COmplex he will be in X-Force. With all that is going on I do not see Xavier being trusted as much.

take out Wolverine and I think in that pic you have your main X-Men team. Though I agree the family dynamic is missing. however with MCX happening everything is in limbo. One thing is certain and this was confirmed is that we will have 7 books, NOT counting Wolverine and his 30 or so.

though for a main team I would take Cyclops, Emma, Kitty, Kurt, Rachel, Peter. To me that connects in every way. Kitty's and Rachel's love/hate with Emma, especially since Emma is dating Rachel's father. Like you said Elemental, Peter and Kurt have been friends for ages. I would try to add Iceman to make a link to the O5 with him and Cyclops.

I would put Beast with the Uncanny group with Storm and maybe Cannonball

Everyone knows, I am a huge Emma fan, but I don't dislike Jean and I think her death was cheap and not thought out. If Morrison wanted to kill her there had to be a better way. I liked the few issues with Jean and Emma. Two women who respected but hated each other.

that being said, change is good, but they didn't need to throw Emma in with Cyclops so quickly, especially after Jean's death. I don't think many of us would do that in the real world.

If Morrison was smart he would have made their relationship come over time. Still, I do miss Jean but change is good and Emma brings in something different. that said, they could solve the MCX problem by bringing Jean back but I guess Marvel saw no point in it.

and I think the X-world is currently messed up enough. Only good thing is that they let 3 years pass before MCX.

I agree. you know me and we have our differrences, you prefer Jean and I prefer Emma, but I do agree with you on one point, Jean got a cheap death. Against a damn Magneto clone. To me, I really enjoyed the 20 or so issues with Emma and Jean on the same team. Two distinctly different personalities, but that worked well.

IGN is going to interview all the writers tomorrow and they will give some insight into the titles.

Uncanny will probably remain the way it is. Keep Storm in command there. They could work with the Black Panther and try to get help from that end since Storm and T'Challa are pretty much a couple.

Adjectiveless is going bye bye. there will not be a normal X-Men title. On the cover for the final issue of Messiah COmplX they had the surviving memebers of the O5. Jean was missing as was Iceman which makes me think Iceman could be the one that dies.

X-Force is done. Wolverine is going to be leading that team along with most of the other Ferals.

X-Factor will be the one most impacted. Them and New X-Men.

As for AXM, Wolverine is gone but Cyclops, Emma and I think Colossus have been confirmed.

if anyone is interested in checking it out, IGN.com has two more discussions about MCX and the last two covers for Part 12 and Part 13. the last one is cool. it is the original 5. Well three, only Cyclops, Beast, and Angel which makes me think that Iceman is the X-Man who dies

heh heh. Sinister is currently everyone's favorite villain. I am hoping they don't off him in MCX

If there still is a Brood Queen it would be possible, but without one no Brood left. Magnet is currently depowered mostly and the Hellfire Club, well see issues 13-18 of Astonishing X-Men. they are pretty much gone. as for Sinister and Exodus, that will happen I think in Messaih Complex.

oh yeah. I also liked Apocalypse. Too bad Marvel just gave him a crappy death
