As a kid until now I like Cross Over Comic Book like D.C. vs. Marvel , Marvel and DC Present: The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans of which I own beside characters like The Darkness where their cross over are important to their story arc 90% of crossover are not Important to the story arc , my question is should cross overs be important or not to the story arc?

Long haired Superman, Long eared Batman, White suit Storm, damn a lot of my favs here, and Marvel vs Capcom 2 style Hulk. Spidermans not bad either despite the tumors.

I'd love a universe DC and or Marvel where the characters age 5 years every half a year. Slowly progressing threw that universes timeline from golden age heroes to modern age heroes. Would be more interesting amd also allow new characters to be developed.

Batman starts as bruce at like 25, next year is 35, then ages to 45 and starts slowing down, then at 55 is semi-retired and trains nightwing redrobin who ever, and eventually dies at like 85, 6 years after the story began giving way to someone elses story to start, maybe nightwing, or terry or whomever.

Superman would likely stop aging around 30-40 since he is inevitable to become immortal.

Spiderman could start very young and be around for a long time.

It could and would work, just not in the main universes. Being a fan of the Dragon Ball TV series's and watching them all grow was pretty awesome to me as a kid.
