For example, a First printing of "Edge of Spider-Verse #2" where it feature Spider-Gwen, was marked up to $20 from it's original price tag of $4.99

What a rip off.

Story wasn't even amazing anyway. Decent, not $20 decent.

Decency of the story doesn't matter. Just because it was Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman, and how quick the book sold. That made the price of the first printing go up in market value, but yeah I do agree with you. If anyone wants to read that issue, just get new printings or download it digitally.

@joshrocker: The store that I go to will mark up the price of old issues to today's values. Say for example an old $1.50 comic will be $3.00. If you want anything cheaper than that you can dig through "The Trash" which has stuff for like $1 or .50 cents. The only time anything is marked up higher is if it's like a first printing of something and something big happened in that issue. For example, a First printing of "Edge of Spider-Verse #2" where it feature Spider-Gwen, was marked up to $20 from it's original price tag of $4.99

For you're store though, it sounds like it's a smaller store, and they have to mark up the price of older issues so they can afford to stay open. Comics can sometimes not be very profitable, depending on where you're set up.

What is my future with comics? How can I keep collecting considering what's happening?

If you hate it so bad, why don't you write it yourself? Oh wait you don't work for Marvel. Sorry :)

I had no real problem with the bully side to Thomas Elliott. Tommy had always seemed a self-entitled brat, and most of the time bullies come from broken homes, and if any of you know the origin of Hush, Tommy had some serious mommy and daddy issues before he killed them. Also, in my own experience, I've seen bullies become best friends to their former victims especially if the victim successfully stands up to them (though it doesn't always have to be in the form of physical confrontation). Though I seriously doubt the series will follow this path, I could see a form of mutual respect between Bruce and Tommy, though all the while Tommy still wants to get back at Bruce.

@batkevin74: What's the word count limit, or is there one this time around?

@batkevin74: like you said, it's a lot shorter than usual. I have to say though, I'm a lot more interested in Ozzy's investigation than I am Reynolds revelation that he is the most powerful being on the planet (and possibly the universe.)
