I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. Lodbell has been hit and miss for me on the three titles he's currently working on. Having another title might make things worse.

@primepower53: I've been writing for a long time, but I've only recently started work on this.

Operation Crisis: Prelude

Flight, it has always been like a dream. A dream that you never want to end, but at some point in time you have to come down from the sky above. The man known as Clark Kent has always known this. Ever since he was a boy and first discovered that things were not what they seemed. Ever since he realized that he was in fact an alien from the planet Krypton and ever since he became the hero known as Superman. But even a hero, a Superman, still has the right to dream.

As his eyes slowly opened it felt like Clark was waking up to a dream as he stared at the wavy dark locks of his wife’s hair, the beautiful Lois Lane-Kent who rested peacefully against him. He watched the steady rise and fall of her chest, and listened to the sound of her heartbeat. It was a sound that he never got tired of. It was something that always kept Clark grounded when his mind was often high above the Earth.

When Lois opened her eyes, Clark smiled and kissed her lips.

“Good morning to you too.” Lois said smiling back at him. “Did you sleep well?”

“Come on Lois, I’m Superman. Superman doesn’t sleep.” He replied.

“But Clark Kent does. The snoring I heard last night proves it.”

“Huh?” Clark suddenly acted embarrassed, “I don’t snore. That couldn’t have been me.” Lois started to laugh.

“Nice try, Smallville.” She said right before flicking his nose with her index finger. She set up on the bed and put her feet on the floor before stretching. I’ve got to turn in that story on the Long Island disappearances to Perry today, so I have to get moving. I’m going to fix some coffee then get moving. You want any?” She asked Clark. Clark was already standing up and heading toward the bathroom for his usually morning “heat-vision” shave.

“No thanks, I’m good.” He replied. To be honest, Clark never really liked coffee, but he only drank it because of his Pa. Pa Kent always had at least one cup of joe every morning before heading to the fields. Pa had always said that it gave him a little extra boost to get the day started. Which in truth is what most people used it for, but for Clark it was more so to keep up appearances, and speaking of appearances. Clark felt a little disgusted about how his stubble had grown out. After a few short blasts of his heat vision it was back to the smooth texture that he preferred to have.

“Oh my god!” Clark heard Lois scream, and within the blink of an eye he was there in the Kitchen with her. Lois had a horrified look on her face as Clark took hold of her.

“Lois what is it.” She just pointed at the window that overlooked Metropolis Central Park, and when Clark turned his head he saw what had been the source of her distress. The truth was though Clark could barely believe it himself. Right in the middle of central park stood a towering figure, which should not be in Metropolis, but instead be looking over ships coming into New York Harbor.

“Impossible, what in the world is the Statue of Liberty doing here? Clark did you have anything to do with this?” Lois asked.

“Don’t be ridiculous. I’m just as shocked as you are.”

“I’m going to turn on the TV to see what’s going on.” Lois turned to head for the living room, but Clark called out to her.

“Lois wait a minute. Something’s happening.” As Lois turned back Lady Liberty slowly began to fade, and then she disappeared altogether, as if the statue had never been there.

“Clark, please tell me what the hell is going on.”

“I don’t know, but I’m going to find out. Head on into the Planet, and see what you can find out. I’m going to check in with the league.” Clark moved with superhuman speed and changed into his costume before heading out the bedroom window, and leaving a still shaken Lois behind in the apartment. Clark hated to do that, but he knew that his wife was a strong woman and she would pull through. Besides her curiosity about the story would override her shock eventually. For Clark though, he had to find some answers, and find them fast.

@Thor's hammmer: I know the feeling. I am struggling myself right now, but I'm still trying. If you have any ideas though I'm still open to hearing them.

@Cage_2913_69: We are still in the Early stages of "Operation Crisis" so DC and Marvel will not be mixing completely just yet. If you would like to know more please send me a PM.

@TheCannon: I'm glad you're interested. I will send you a PM, so I can hear you're ideas.
