@dedrabbit: Loki would beat Thor, he only loses because of plot. Giving Loki prep actually made this kind of one-sided.
He only has prep for round 1. So okay, he might win that one. But the second round Hawkman is about a 100 tonner and Loki gets no prep at all. Then the third round is purely combat skills. No magic.
With his magic, shouldn't Loki stomp Hawkman any day of the week any day of the week being one of the most powerful magic users in the Marvel universe (and above many in even the DC universe)? I mean, the last round should go to Hawkman, but either way it's a bit onesided.
Did you realize that Hawkman is actually pretty magic resistant? That is why I made this battle. And I get he is good with magic and that is great but the most prep I gave him is only 1 hour and he is against the most powerful version of Hawkman in that round. The other rounds Loki doesn't really know who he is facing. And if you ask me, Hawkman with the claw of Horus is arguable on the same level as base Thor. I don't see that as spite. Yeah, Loki might still win but it wouldn't be super easy for him.
Pretty magic resistant must go a REALLY long way then, especially when speaking of Loki's magic. And...I am not sure what it matters if Loki knows his opponent or not, same with Hawkman (what has he done with prep btw?).
By the way, what makes you think Claw of Horus Hawkman is on the same level as base Thor? Not saying he isn't,but this is my first time hearing about this.
I wouldn't say Loki couldn't still hurt Hawkman with magic but him being a bit resistant does help. And well neither of them knows what they are in for, and tbh, Loki is one of those villains who likes to play things out and talk. Hawkman kinda just goes for the kill once he sees a threat. Just saying.
And because with the Claw of Horus he hits with the gravitational force of the Earth. So his strength is enhanced greatly, I would say on that base thor, superman type level. Of course he doesn't have all those extra abilities that Thor has but still.
