I am kind of split on Flash. Although he doesn't look like Flash (aka a sports jock), he at least acts like him (unlike the previous two interpretations of the character, who were just generic bullies).
I hope they do more with Michelle as a character in the upcoming movie. In Homecoming, I felt that she was treated as the one-liner, joke character (let's be honest, what did she actually do in Homecoming?). It will be really disappointing if they just throw to her and Peter together because she's "MJ" and Peter has to like/date "MJ." Michelle still seems like the one-liner character in the trailers/tv spots, but maybe they'll surprise us.
Also, in one of the TV spots from above, during the scene where Peter is webslinging with Michelle, is Michelle wearing a shirt that has Edna from the Incredibles on it?
You know what else is great, a Marvel Chief Editor, actually told the truth.
C.B. did not mess us about. he said that Spencer has big things for Mary Jane and the smile he gave when asked about her and Peter getting back together.
I think this is definitely a new beginning for Marvel.
Not to be the pessimist here but its still good to be cautious. I hope to the heavens and Marvel that what Spencer has begun in ASM continues to bear fruit, but there's always that tick in the back of the head that just spells a negative feeling.
Let's just hope he continues to do good.
Right there with you. I'm not celebrating anything until OMD has been reconciled. And even if Marvel does that, part of me feels it is just too little too late for me.
ASM2 suit is definitely the best depiction of Spider-Man in film so far. Probably the only good thing that came from that movie (besides the chemistry between Garfield and Stone).
I agree that the pacing in ASM:RYV needs a little work, although I cannot say how much of this is caused by wanting to tell the stories before it gets to a point where it could be on the chopping block.
