@Babs: Babs, you forgot to remove the title cards when you scanned them all!! The index cards are kind of in the way BUT thank you for doing this and saying these will be framed and posted on the Comic Vine walls, I don't know what to say.
Initially I was really hating on Rogen. Then I saw some pics of him and he appears to have lost weight, and from the news that's been released, it seems Rogen may be trying to do this right. TRYING. Let's hope the efforts succeed but I'm still concerned about Kato, I hope he uses Martial Arts, I mean how can he be Kato and NOT use Martial Arts?
I am doing a bit of a turn around and will hold out hope but will wait 'til the reviews come in, won't rush to see this one.

@The Wanderer: Let's just skip the whole Black Lantern thing as I tried to point out in the opening of the blog. I assume most of these characters will eventually revert to the land of the living. If they don't I'd be immensely surprised but I anticipate them to return to life. Regardless of their current condition, OK? Whom do you think should be killed off permanently or be de-powered?
@Kore: I'm not certain if my reply was posted, doesn't look like it. Spoiler is now Batgirl but I still don't like the character so I can understand that one. Also Robin--oh yeah.

OK, OK, I know the whole Black Lantern thing is appealing to a lot of readers and it may seem OK but I'm just not into it.
However, the concept had me thinking about a few things and namely, why are some characters still around when clearly they really should not be?
We all have our choices and I want to hear yours. I am only going to mention a couple; believe me my own list is long but I just want to touch upon whom I feel really need to either have their powers removed or possibly take a dirt nap. And not return as a Zombie or Black Lantern or whatever.
First on my list:
Alan Scott, AKA the first Green Lantern and AKA Sentinel.
Let's face it, he may have been interesting way back in the day, but he has so many things against him, he just has to go. Here are my reasons why:
First, his powers. Green Mystic Flame which he can manipulate, he can walk through most solid objects and fly. OK, not bad BUT what is his weakness?? WOOD!! What the hell? I could take a baseball bat to his head and its GAME OVER, MAN! Secondly, look at his costume scheme and the colors. Not entirely green. Also that damn collar thing. Lastly, he just causes too much confusion as there are already SO MANY Green Lantern characters as it is. Yes, he goes by Sentinel but also goes by Green Lantern, and most new readers who are just getting to know Hal Jordan may see Alan Scott and go "WTF"? Also the fact he wasn't exactly father of the year to Extant nor Jade for that matter. Come on DC, retire his tired old butt.
Next in line is someone from the same timeline and group as Alan Scott. Jay Garrick AKA Flash. I like Jay Garrick, I really do. However, how may Flashes do we need? This is the same reasoning as Green Lantern but if Jay's powers were simply to run out--pun intended--that would be preferable. Do it with some dignity, just let the guy retire.
OK. what are the characters you would nominate that simply need to "disappear" in one fashion or another? Any comic book publisher/company. If you can, state why. I am very curious about your choices!
Yeah, the TV show was pretty cheesy back in the day and again Hollywood is milking yet another TV property BUT Liam Neeson is in it and I like the look of BA Baracus. It may be fun, at least I hope it is. The one time I may actually plunk $ down for a TV show made into a movie.
