The Merc With The Mouth has been my favorite since I first played him in MUA. He's funny, has a dark past, can kick butt, and always makes me laugh...no matter who is writing him. He's the typical sad clown story and I love stories like that. A lot of people think he is only Spider-man with guns and swords, but he is much more then that.
Almost everything with Batman in it is successful.... "The Dark Knight" is one of the most successful movies ever made, "Batman Arkham Asylum" is one of the most successful video games released yet, even his old animated series has won an award, a lot of his stories are critically successful. Everyone loves Batman and so do I, he's a great character and I love how he can do amazing things like beat up Superman (Sorry Superman fans but let's face the facts) even though he's just a man.
What do you get if you combine the awesomeness of Batman and combine it with the killer instinct of Punisher, plus put him in the middle of the darkest time the world has ever known (During WW2) and you got a badass. For someone with a ridiculous name, he is certainly one of the coolest comic book characters I've ever read.
Not a fan of the Renne Montoya Question, I always liked the Vic Sage Question more....mainly because he's more smarter then Batman only not as well trained in martial arts. The faceless man in a fedora and trench coat is such an iconic image and I really hope they bring Vic Sage back from the dead somehow. I also like how his origin is the fact that he's an orphan who was looking for kicks and almost died, then Batman came in and helped him up and helped him become a responsible superhero.
Who doesn't like the Joker as a villain, he's sly, mysterious, dangerous, smart, and overall scary. He seems to always be the man in Batman's life who continues to try and screw it up, wither that means killing the second Robin or trying to kill Batman himself. He's one of the greatest comic book villians of all time and I can see why.
Definitely one of the most interesting comic book villains that has come out recently, Kevin Smith is a comic book genius. A masked killer who hunts down heroes without superpowers and kills them. That's great and all but the real hook is the fact that he never speaks words only sound effects. He's a bad guy who can't work outside of comics, and I like that.
With the exception of Joker, Riddler is my favorite Batman villain. He's a guy out to prove that he is the smartest man in the world. However every time he is about to prove it, Batman appears and outsmarts him. I like how his greatest power is also his greatest weakness, he speaks in riddles making it hard to understand what he is talking about but the fact he speaks in riddles also makes it hard for him to get the point out. He figures out Batman's secret identity but can't tell anyone because a riddle everyone knows is useless. Brillent!!!
I wasn't that big of a fan of this character until Paul Dini stepped in and fixed all of his flaws. Paul has made him into a great threat, especially since he now looks like Bruce Wayne. "Heart of Hush" is one of my all time favorite Batman comic book storylines that has come out.
I like this character mainly because of how interesting the character is. He can make a weapon out of anything and that always means that writers can always bring something new to the character. He's one of those villains who always makes the heroes choose brains over brawn. You can't just charge at him because chances are you'll be dead in seconds, you have to find ways to outsmart him.
I like this character mainly because his story is something that could (and probably has) happen to anyone. He's Batman with guns, a man who is on a mission to eliminate anyone who breaks the law. He's a tragic character and is one of the few heroes I like mainly because he won't let anyone get in his way when he's on a mission, if a hero is between him and a bad guy The Punisher will gladly take both of them down.
