Talk About Twisted 0

Wow, it's bin awhile Comicvine but i'm back and just in time to review Issue # 3 of Kane & Lynch. Now I make it a point to pick up a new comic-book every month to branch out from the Marvel & DC craze, and one and awhile I get rewarded with a Diamond in the rough.    This Comic pretty good, actually makes me wanna go back and read the two before it; it's almost Bourne meets Boondock Saints hire Edginton and have a baby and what a baby this is. No it's not an amazing read but it is an int...

Overkill Never Felt So Good 0

Please don't act like you're not tired of Deadpool he's everywhere from the poster on your comic book shop to the promotion in the back of your comic book and even manages to slip into comics you wouldn't dream he'd be in but through it all we keep coming back why? It's simple really Deadpool is funny case closed, the dude is an issue of Late Night Television and so since is hadn't bin reading the ole Merc with a Mouth i decided to return to my roots by reading this comic.   I'll start off by sa...

Air? Flat Title Good Storyline 0

I've always liked Vertigo Comics theres something about them that's just different they take more risks but that's just my opinion. This is series is really the first time when i read something of Ms. G. Willow Wilson and i'll have to say although this comic isn't Amazing it's something that keeps you reading more why? It has this Adventure/Detective type take on things that i personally enjoy it's an old style of Comic-Book Writing that has bin lost and needs to come back!  I say get the comic ...

Talks a Big Game but... : / 0

Nemesis the Goddess of just punishment and vengeance and also the title of Mark Millers newest Comic which claims it makes "Kick-Ass look like sh*t" which as i closed the book found it to be the other way around Kick-Ass makes Nemesis look like something that belongs in a toilet. I have respect for Mark Miller as a writer, he takes being a superhero to a whole new level like he did with Kick-Ass but he isn't as great as people make him out to be which is shown in Nemesis #1. But now to the re...

Death Is Only The Beginning? 0

Am i the only one who enjoys every minute Bullseye is on a Comic-Book Panel? He has that presence that is lacking in most Villains, he doesn't want to rule the world or destroy it. He just wants to kill somebody ( You know that i could kill somebodyyyyyy hmm catchy) he's twisted and sick and virtually unstable and what does that make up? A good comic book as long as we have a good writer. Oh Yea that Johnston dude is holding the reigns!   Was this comic good? It wasn't bad, it was interesting to...

Kick-Ass is Kicking.. Well You Know 0

Kick-Ass is in my opinion one of Miller's best work. Why? It's new, it's fresh, it creative, it's.. Different! And that is becoming harder to come by in Comic-Books these days, so when people like me get tired of the Superman's and Wolverine's of the Comic-Book industry you can pick up this comic and really enjoy and different view on being a Superhero!   Now to the review was comic good? Yes, it was more than good it was purely awesome. Mark Miller continues to shine, and Romita Jr art is a gre...

Psylocke Equals: Awesomeness 0

Come on like you don't love Psylocke. She's the artists excuse to make the curves better, the uniform tighter & smaller! But do we complain? I know i don't but besides Psylocke's obvious attractiveness which borderline smoking hot her character is pretty badass and one that i think deserves a mini-series. So here we are. This comic was surprisingly good, not that i doubted that it wouldn't be good but i dind't expect it to be this good if that made any sense. Yost has always bin a good wri...

Spawning Interest 0

I have alot of Spawn Comics in a my library that i haven't picked up, i get them in the mail from a contact but never really have read one since Issue #187. It's not like i don't like Spawn, in fact i have some love for the Hellspawn but in these past weeks i've tried to make it a conscious decision to catch up on Spawn, and so far i'm liking it not loving but i'm sure that will come.   This comic was actually pretty cool, Spawn is such a bad-ass character that any cover he's on Spawns some inte...

Overkill? Maybe 0

People are saying that they're is too much Deadpool, that he is now Marvel's personal Poster-Boy. Do i disagree? Absolutely not, i think there is wayyy to much Deadpool these days but do i care? No, as long as the comics are good i don't care. I remember when i used to say i can't get enough of the Merc with the Mouth, but i'm bursting at the seams.  This comic continues Deadpool's zany Adventure in this alternate world as i call it. It's actually ook, nothing to rave about, nothing really to cr...

Hush Lil Baby Don't Say A Word! 0

This Comic Is Comic Book Gold! Batman has always bin my favorite Comic-Book character of all time, and the Relationship between Hush & Batman is epic. Hush is one of those classic bad-ass villains who are just dark and gritty and perfectly worthy of fighting the Caped Crusader.  Jeph Loebs writing in this comic is Gold, the storyline is crisp and gripping which makes any Comic-Book lover appreciate it to the point of drooling.  The Art is wonderful, and the cover is one of the best i've seen...

Moon Knight Wait Batman? Scarecrow! Wait Scarecrow? Huh! 0

Moon Knight/Batman Series is actually pretty good but I'm having a hard time accepting it as good literature. Why? It has ceased to be original, it's like the Creative team finished reading a Batman comic then said to themselves if we only change the costume, name, and back-story we may be able to run with this. And it's bin working and I’ve ignored the similarities with Batman until now.. Why? Because Marvel has ceased to keep the similarities on a low-key scale and have decided to add a new v...

The Day After Amazing Deadpool 0

Spider-Man & Deadpool in One Comic?!? I have honestly bin waiting for this to happen for a very long time, sure they've bin together a few timesz but not like this! When i heard about this i immediately called my Contact down at the comic store to hold one for me. Now to the review!   I have just finished reading this comic about an hour ago, And i must admit I wasn't at all THAT disappointed although i expected the comic to be a little more funnier, it still was. The duo in itself was in my...

X Rated DP?! That's Not New! 0

Deadpool and the X-Men? I could never in my wildest dreams have saw this coming, but here we are Deadpool is running around in a X-Men costume which looks horrible btw, making us crack up everytime he opens his mouth. I'm actually liking X-Men/Deadpool run. But let's review the comic.  I'm not big on spoilers so i won't say anything about the story, i'll let the peope who actually go and get it find out the storyline, BUT i will say that this comic is good. This whole arc with the X-Men is actua...

A Match Made In A Very Twisted Part Of Heaven 0

Merc & Herc in one comic?! The great thing about working in the comic industry as i do, is that you get a heads up to these sort of things. So when i heard that this was gonna happen i couldn't help but get excited, and my excitement really didn't go to waste on this comic. It was a good duo, Starsky & Hutch, Bugs & Daffy, Bats &... You know what i'll pass on that one but you catch my drift it was a good team-up. I love Marvel Team-Ups and whether they b good or bad i still like...

Two Sides Of The Same Coin? Sweeet 0

I have bin following this series in ernest, but never before have i bin so geared up a.k.a excited for any comic as much as this one. Two-Face is arguably one of my favorite Batman Villians of all-time, I mean let's face it the guys a ruthless bad-ass. So you catch the drift which upon rides the excitement of the comic! ( Woooow)  This comic was by far in all the best of the Grayson Era, This comic had everything comic book readers are looking for, Good Writing, Storyline, Character Portrayal,...

Titans Go! 0

Teen Titans, Titans whatever you wanna call it, i never could really bring myself to get into them. I've followed them, considering my love/hate relationship with Deathstroke and his involvement with the team throughout the years. I picked this comic because i liked the cover, and wanted to see what it was about... plus it was free! yes i said the forbidden word folks This comic was surprsingly ok, the art was ok, and the storyling made me actually want to maybe pick up the next comic. On Moon Knights Bay 0

Moon Knight is back! Finally is the only word that rings through my mind as I hear that, Moon Knight is a great character whose comics I always pick up. Some say he's an offshot of Batman, Others say he's Awesome I tend to lean towards the latter.  Now Moon Knight is back as if i haven't said that at least five times ( love the sound of it), and he's out for Time Magazines Man Of The Year: Norman Osborn, Marvel's personal Lex Luthor, and Big Time Jackass, Some say he's the Devil reincarnated, ...

X Marks The Spot? Hmm 0

X-Force always leaves my with some kinda of twist in my stomach for reasons i still can't explain, The action is good, the characters are a all-star cast that screams Academy Award, and the storyline is good, in fact it's very good. Yet something about this series leaves my in a bit of a quandary if you will. Hmm, Anywho... This Comic was good, Which really deals with X-23, now I’ve always found her character to be interesting, although i had my reserves when she first came on to the Marvel Sc...

A Tale of Two Females 0

Spider-Man has bin the foundation of my reading curve since I was very young. He was a character I could relate to, could emphasize with, He was in a way very much like me and when you're young you like Characters or People who have a likeness to yourself. Throughout the years Spider-Man has remained in my list of Top 10 Characters to Read, sometimes moving down and up the list but always managing to stay in it.  In this Comic the sultry Black Cat is back, and much to the dislike of a certain ...

Died Down Much? 0

This series ( For me) has a slight case of Heroes Syndrome. You may ask what is Heroes Syndrome? Like the TV Show It started out to be highly entertaining, original, Like a breath of fresh air you take in a crisp Autumn morning, Then it dissapeared into the day 2 day manusha ( i know that's not how you spell it) of boredem. Although it show to be ok at times, it's virtually a yawn yawn type of thing... This comic get a 3 out of 5 and the series which was once a 4 drops to a 2 in my personal rat...

No Way?!? Waayyyyyy 0

This series is slowly becoming one of my favorite on the press right now. I mean after i finish reading things like Batman, Dark Reign, & Others at the end of the day when i come back from a hard day at my Job, it's nice to sit down open a book, and just smile, laugh, and occasionally if not very often break out into spasms of uncontrolled laughter. This comic is very intresting, it's not the usually funny Deadpool ( which is ok). It's a more serious comic ( never thought i'd associate that...

900? Damn You're Old 0

I've bin reading Deadpool since the day he became a character and i don't see how he's reached the 900 milestone. But here we are folks, whether you like it or not. Now this comic was probably one of the best Deadpool comics in my book, it was funny as hell (spit out my milk in a few scenes), It had alot of action, it had everything and more you would expect in a Deadpool comic. I love the mixture of Artists & Writers in this book, you see sooo many sides of Deadpool in one Big Issue it's ...

At Last 0

It seems that New Avengers continues to be my favorite team during this Dark Reign Period, It seems every comic is just a complete blast! It seems every time Bendis picks up a pen and paper magic seems to flow unto the page, the interaction between this characters of this team is just awesome! I always wondered how all these Super-Stars would work in one book, but this has working soo far due to the genius of Bendis. I give this comic 4.8 out of 5. 1: I Love the New Avengers, 2: I greatly respec...

Madame, O Madame 0

This series has become very fun series, something to pass the time you know? It's writing it's Gold, and it's characterization isn't the best in the business, and yet this Comic grips in an Family Guy sort of way, you wanna not like but there you are watching it, liking it, recommending it. I give this Comic a good 3.8 out of 5     ...

We Own The Night? Not Quite 0

DC Universe seems to but not really over the Death of Batman The Dark Knight, his symbol and what he stood for in my view no other Character had bin able to undergo, But the Epic Battle for the Cowl has come to end result: Dick Grayson a.k.a Nightwing is now the Gotham's Dark Knight.  Now many a Batman fan has disputed and argued over Grayson ( out of respect i will not call him Dick lol) taking on the coveted cowl, some say he was where he was supposed to be in blue and black tights runnin...

Pool is Cool! 0

Deadpool is a character that will always be buszzed about by either haters or lovers, and at times the haters outweight the Passionate and seamenly blind Fanboys. I'd like to think of him as the Megan Fox of the Marvel Universe in the sense that your feelings towards him can go either way, but still there is a constant buzz around this character. Why? everyone loves Deadpool, or at least I Do, everyone can seemly connect with a deranged psychopath who hides his day 2 day insecurites with Comedy...

Thunder My Bolt 0

It seems that the more read Thunderbolt comics the more i seem to love them, but Comicvine it is official Thunderbolts are officially one of my favorite reads. Why? I've always liked the Heart of a Hero, Methods Of A Villain road, but many times this method of character portrayal isn't done right. Diggle changes that in Issue #135 of Thunderbolts, The entire issue is a complete blast for Comic Book lovers like me. I give this 4.7 out of Five for Art ( Cover Is Sick), Writing ( Which covers every...

Barton Has Bark 0

Dark Reign for me has bin a drawn out blast, It has a good plot predictable at times ( very scarce timesz) but overall an enjoyable read from start to finish (when ever that is).   For me New Avengers have bin the icing on the cake in this Story Arc, any comic that they are in proves to be an enjoyable read for me personally the interaction between the characters is crisp and well done by B.M Bendis. But here we have Clint Barton (who's company in comics i have always liked but never loved until...

Up The Anti! 0

I have always had a love for Eddie Brock to me he is still the best Venom to travel the pages of Spider-Man Comics. But now we are faced with a new Eddie Brock... Anti-Venom, now the name doesn't bother me as much as the look, but what I'm glad is that they are showing the battle lines Eddie has to cross in his Nature to balance between Hero & Villain. In this comic i think Zed portray's very well, Also the re-appearance of Jenna the Junkie in his life poses a classic case of "Something to l...

Black Is Back, Green Is Mean, & Cupid Is Stupid! 0

Ok, So I've honestly bin reading this series as more of a way to waste time. Since Marvel Comics take up most of my reading list & DC's Batman is probably all i care to pick up from this Publisher, But i decided to switch it up and be open to new stuff. I've never really liked Green Arrow even when he was in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns I secretly proffered that he wasn't there ( he's a douche), As for Black Canary I have always liked her character grips me to an extent very few Fe...

Black Panther Continues To Produce Gold 0

Ok, So when i first heard about the comic i was really turned off by the idea of having a Girl Black Panther, don't get me wrong i don't have anything against Women taken on Mantels of Past Heroes, but i think there's too much of that in Comics... But as i continued to read this comic made do a complete 180!, I mean the writing is Amazingly inspirational, the Character portrayal is top notch, and the storyline is great, i give this comic a 4.8 out of Five  ...

I spazed when i heard that these Cyberforce/Mighty Avengers would b in the same comic together,. The Comic was pretty cool, the art was cool, the writing was nice, the storyline was enjoyable, the character interaction was lacking but has the potential to get better, on a whole this comic is fun from start to finish, we have action, action, action & more action.... it's great, 4.2 OUT 5 In My Book, Thumbs up !...

Black Panther Is Hot, but Lacking 0

I've always liked Black Panther as a character and hero, he's always bin one of my favorite, the thought of having a girl Black Panther, is idk, alot of comics have done this Question, Batman, and many others, by making a female version of the Characters, as she takes up the mantle... i wasn't crazy about the issue, i mean it is the first issue, but it looks like it's gonna b a great series, i've read the other ones, i wasn't disappointed,  they were ok... the comic gets a 3.5...

New Avengers Is Still MyTeam 0

This comic was very good, I have great respect for Bendis' work, and this was another great read from him, in fact it was an awesome read, i think it's very cool to see lotsz of characters and how they converse with each other.. and alot of times it isn't done right, but in this comic it was done perfectly, the jokes, the interaction alone gave this comic a 4.8 for me, the Comic is Action-Packed, we don't really see what we see on the cover in the book ( well we kinda of do but..).. So far throughout  Dark Reign series my favorite characters have bin Hawkeye/Bullseye and Deadpool, so these 2 in the same comic was pretty cool, the comic was pretty good, i liked it, any comic book with DP in it i usually enjoy, I would have liked a better drawn out fight scene... but it was pretty awesome..... there is alot of Action in this Comic... so action lovers will love this ...
