The idea is nice but it wouldn't work in the comic universe. Having a museum would only bring into the light the horrible horrible inconsistencies that exist within the comics. How do you show a history of something when they seemingly don't age?
I always felt that Spider-Man was always a brains over brawn type character. I'd rather see him resolve Spider Island by outsmarting everyone rather than outfighting.
The idea of having more minorities in comics is a great idea, but I don't like having them shoe horned in. In the examples in the article, Batman, Captain America, and Iron Man, it made sense when they were replaced because they were replaced by people close to them. In this case Miles has no relation to Peter. Why not just have him be his own hero?
That being said time powers would have to be my super power of choice. I could age villains until they turn old and weak or go back in time and stop them before they're born. Time powers would also allow me to spy on the opposite sex and rob banks.
