I have to say that I believe it is a mistake to try and relate to any character based on their abilities. Their powers/abilities are completely irrelevant. It is a tired argument that one cannot relate to Superman (or any hero for that matter) because of his powers. His powers have nothing to do with it. Of course we can't fly, lift cars, or be hurt by a green rock. None of that matters. What matters is who he is, as well as who we are. At the end of the day Superman is human. There is no other way to look at it. He was raised as a human. He lives as a human being. He has human habits and tendencies. Furthermore, the most interesting dynamic with regard to both Superman and Batman is the odd realization that Superman may in fact be more human than Batman. We have Superman, a supernatural being who becomes a human being, and Batman, the human who becomes somewhat of a supernatural being. That is what makes them both so awesome! Having said all of that, I feel I can guess what goes on inside of Superman's head, but frankly, I probably couldn't last a day inside the Dark Knight's.
@Icarusflies: That is what I thought. He is by far my favorite superhero, but to be perfectly honest I believe voting him up would be really dumb. I guess to some people it actually matters. Thanks for the reply.
