Hey there comic fans...

        Please let me know what you think as I finish and post my work. I'm just having fun with it but would appreciate honest comments. What you like or dislike. I am bit by bit fine tuning my work and hope to have something in the near future that everyone can enjoy at different levels. Thanks in advance for your opinions.... Although my profile name is DavidR, I did that to post a comment and used caution not knowing the website. If someone knows how I can switch my user name please let me know. Don't feel like re-doing a whole new profile. Thanks again,

Nice Batman :) I can't wait to see the finished product and more of your work.
I like the background work as well. 
As for the name change, unless there has been updates I missed, I believe you will have to do a new Profile :| 
I had the same question, lol, wasn't meanin to use my real name. 
 
BTW, This should be in the Artist Show-off board, but I'm sure a mod will fix it XD

Thanks for the Info and the kind words. I kinda knew I was going to eventually have to do that. Right now I am showcasing mostly older art and some new practice material. I think when I have enough new art that I am happy with I will transfer and show it from my new profile. At this time, I do have my art posted on the Artist Show-off board. It's under " Started practicin' again... Let me know what you think " in case you want to take a quick look. Thanks again for you comments, let me know from time to time, good or bad, what you think, only way I can keep improving....

Cool little negative effect thing you have going on with the Batman piece, the Spider-man has a nice sort of classic feel to it that I can't seem to put my finger on

This is something I did for my friends. They have a Band called Gooding. If you like Alternative, Urban Rock, check them out. Gooding does lead vocals and guitar. He's pretty amazing when he plays 2 guitars at once.  On their website they have their latest Cd, down-loadable for free Mp3's.

@mimschkin: Thanks, actually this blog was posted before the "Artist show off" posting, I realized that showing my stuff on there was a better way to showcase my stuff. The Administrators from this website decided to move my blog to the "Artist show off" area and since there was no art on this blog other than my first Batman post, I added some new pieces here since I can't on my other one until somebody posts something again on it. So, that's why it looks like I posted the Batman piece again.  

  This next piece was a quicky that I drew and added color to, and posted to someones post wanting to fuse Batman and Daredevil together. Kinda like an amalgam contest but just requested by an individual....

 Thanks, usually with these quick ones I do very rough pencils, I'm comfortable with Papermate disposable sharpwriter #2 then for inks Pentel Tradio fountain pen and the disposable black color brush by Pentel. Years ago I used the quill and regular brush for a long time but hated having to continually dip for more ink.
 
Finally I clean it up a bit on Jask Paintshop pro or Photoshop with a Wacom Intous4 drawing tablet, colors are optional and I don't have the time to really colorize it better .
 
 Soon time permiting I am going to go back to much tighter pencils and see if I like the results more, once it's inked.
