Writers have meesed up continuity all the time. So far Bendis has said explicitly that these ARE the 616 versions. So, until he says otherwise or it is stated, they are the 616. *shrug*

As for Hope--Hope was far more a rip-off of Synch, not Rogue. An overpowered Synch.

But, let's be honest... Hope's character was pointless anyway. She fulfilled no real function that could not have been done by any other character/feasible plot device. The height of her being the 'messiah' was a blink and you miss it, and now she's an inconsequential redhead.
