@CATPANEXE: Reading your reply made perfect sense to me. I suppose to fully grasp the perspective this entry is speaking to revolves around my desire for the whole picture. As you've mentioned this isn't for everyone. I don't NEED to know what happened in Action Comics #156. I do, however, feel like veteran readers of a title grow close to a character because they've essentially grown up with them. This isn't saying that someone who doesn't give a flip won't make that connection. Blerg, I'm tripping over my words. I suppose the best example I can close with is following continuity in comic books is like watching all Seinfeld episodes in order. The show doesn't make any less sense if you choose not to. It's still just as funny if you start with the fifth season rather than the first. But if you choose to, you get to see the characters grow and develop and can look back and see where they started. For me, I gain comfort from this.

Thanks for the feedback! Don't worry I'm not a hater, more so someone who ponders the implication of resurrecting and building upon material twenty years old. I know nothing can ruin the original Watchmen.

I really don't understand people who continue to insist Batman is the weakest and most boring title which came out of the DC relaunch. There are only a handful of titles I really look forward to and Batman is one which continues to churn out excellent artwork, strong narration/dialogue, and a plot worth giving a damn about. Another strong title worth reading...twice.

I've been wanting to play this forever, just not willing to shell out the bucks for it. Guess this is the perfect time!

I really enjoyed reading this first issue, though I am ashamed to admit Wonder Woman is a character I haven't given particular attention to in the past. All of this is new to me >.<
