Everyone knows that you never run after a dog to catch it. You run the opposite direction to have it chase you.....jeez, these commercial are soooo unrealistic....... :P
I felt like Parallax shouldn't of been the villain, not in this one, anyway. Since there is so much mytho and story to the green lantern universe, they should have kept the to one main villain. Giving Hector Hammond more of a role and focusing on Hal and the Corp. But having written all that, I believe that they set up the story good for a second GL, which damn it I hope happens!
With all the colors/emotion Corps set, DC needs to delve into the ones they already have. We will see that with the Red Lanterns coming soon, but they have created an epic Universe with all the different corps. I have been waiting for more on the Blue Corps, but really haven't seen too much. I thought after the blackest night that they were building up to opening these stories wider open. I cannot remember the last time I saw Warth from the Blue Lanterns....DC just needs to stick with what they got. It is like the Game of risk; the winner is the one who builds and fortifies. While the loser is the one who spreads themselves too thin. BRING ON THE CORPS!
@Jayso4201: I really think this was a movie just to set up the next one. I wanted to see Sinestro on screen more, but it was a story about Hal. The next one (hoping they make their money back) will give Sinestro his time! How about the last shot of him?! My nephew, who isn't a comic book fan, now what's to read Green Lantern! Awesome....
I was all wrong about Reynolds not fit to play Hal Jordan. He captured his early insecurities and smart-ass attitude perfectly. I honestly do not understand why there are so many negative reviews about the GL movie. In fact, despite some changes to the origins of Hal and Sinestro, that this was a comic book come to life in it' truest form. I believe they did a great job of capturing the spirit of the GL world. And I must say, with great urgency, to see it in the theater. We need to make sure they make a second GL movie. This was only the beginning to a bigger story to be told. The last shot after the credits gave me goose bumps! Go see it and have fun....
Did they not start filming until after they knew they were going to be picked up for another season? It is taking soooooooo long for the next season. I hope they come out with more cool figures.
