@jphulk26: Don t worry about my vote. WW has it. And I agree that we need more female superhero stories. The problem is that I think that DC's other female superheros dont have what it takes to turn the trinity into a quartet. They are great but they lack a certain ump to reach that level. I think that DC needs to create another female superhero with the purpose of being as big as WW. My idea is to create a character that is basically WW inspired by Batman not Superman. There is a need to have another nonpowered character to balance the toplevel heros ( BM,Sm,WW) out.

I think you´ve misunderstood the idea of my petition, this will go direct to DC, as the game is the most high profile project they have apart from Man Of Steel. See Detailsbelow.

As for the above things you said, great idea but I think the immaculate conception thing for the hero is a little cliche-ish. Also I think that not having a man with some form of contection to Diana's origin might alienate most male members of the GP. Males make up the largest demographic of moviegoers, so you need to have it appeal to them. You dont want the movie have too much girl power. Doing that might also turnoff a lot of female moviegoers too. Also I should of stated that Hera gives Diana her powers. My bad.

I wasn´t trying to say a father wasn´t involved, I liked your idea with the vile of blood. (err sounds gory when said like that. :)) But what I think is important is the idea and symbolism of WW with two mother figures (that doesn´t discount, the father who died. remember Clark SP has two fathers and and a mother, so it wouldn´t be weird at all for WW, to have two mothers and a "father"), who have very differing ideas of her destiny, and who she must choose between, that makes her relatable. As for her not relating to males, I´m male, as far as I´m concerned I relate to anything that is good storytelling. WW having a direct father or not is not important to me, all she needs is a great original and iconic story, I think you have that. I really loved your idea, and how it payed tribute to her original origin. Any great writer should not be concerned with this, if you have a wonderos story to tell (no pun intended, I think that is enough, audiences will know you´re genuine and passionate from the way you write it. They will relate because it because you find the humanity in the fantastic. Thats all a writer is trying to do, look at classical stories from Cinderella to The Hobbit, they are not necessarily relatable characters in the story, but it depends how you tell the story and if you can find somehow the humanity in a character that takes us along a fantastic journey. Hippolyta´s struggle for a child and inability to have one humanises her; while WW curiosity to the outside world, her desire to escape the safety and tranquillity of paradise; her struggle between her divine destiny and her basic humanity will make her relatable (father or not) Sorry I´m also writing a WW story thats why I´m essaying, hope you take it well.

And lastly I rather have the origin be a seperate movie. I think that should done that for Man of Steel. Have a Krpyton movie explain Zod and Krpyton 's destruction and Zod.

Its a cool idea, but I think audiences would find this harder to deal with that her not having a father. Although you can make it a seperate story. Its a cool story by itself, it doesn´t have to be WW. but anything connected to WW right now needs WW, otherwise people won´t be interested, I think.

I dont like the idea of the Amazons not being able to have children. Like Persphonie said in the WW animated film " We are Women too."

The "we are women too" line is the fascinating thing about the amazons that Gail Simone explored in the animated film and The Circle (please read) and that is the whole point I was trying to make with the story. Paradise Island isn´t paradise because it goes against female sexuality and the reproductive instinct. That is a really interesting society to explore. I didn´t mean they are barren naturally, but simply by having know access to men, they can have no children. I also don´t like the idea the amazons are barren naturally, I think it should be as simple as two women can´t have children, so they become by default a barren race. In that sense the exploration of their sexuality becomes very interesting and a goddess giving ww birth becomes poignant. Especially if Hera goes against the wishes of Zeus to provide Hippolyta with the child. I personally think thats a beautiful layered story, but you may disagree.

I want to try and get Wonder Woman or even just DC fans to gather together for this, fight tornament, to get WW to win to show her popularity. On http://www.injustice.com/en which is a high profile DC games project (see the site) to understand, they´re currently facing off the DC characters every week to say who will win in a fight (i.e. who is most popular) now it is almost inevitable that Batman will win, but I want WW fans to collectively vote for WW, while at the same time tweeting on their message board that we support a WW film or animated series, or whatever it is you hope for DC´s future comic, graphic novel, film or animated universe on their message board. For example I´ve put some of my suggestions for tweets:

"We want a Batman Begins, Man Of Steel like Wonder Woman film"

"We want a Rucka written Earth One Wonder Woman Graphic Novel"

"We want a Wonder Woman/Flash Solo Movie, Animated Series, Graphic Novels Please."

"We want less Superman/Batman Animated Features, More Wonder Woman/Flash/Birds Of Prey etc Please"

If I can get enough people, it will be a small way to say we are fed up with DC only promoting Batman and Superman. We want more female superhero stories or ethnic stories as long as they are good. But we need to do this together for it to work. I know it sounds ridiculous, and may not work, but we hear every day on this site so many complaints that go nowhere, at least this is some small way we can prove WW popularity, Help, but only if you think I´m not being a complete idiot. :)

The army led by a man named Anacles was on its way to attack a stronghold of an army loyal to Ares. They are at war with him because the God of Wars armies attacked their homeland and destoryed it. The dark army then killed most of the women including Anacles's wife and daughter. Some of the women were taking as slaves. it turns out that some of the Amazons are those women and are reunited with their husbands. Hippolyta decides to join with them. The army of men and women sucessfully attack and take the stronghold. They contuine to wage a war against Ares and are successfull at everybattle. Hippolyta then falls in love with Anacles and he falls in love with her. As a token of love Analces gives Hippolyta a magic crystal necklace with some his blood in preseved forever. In fact most of the Amazons have taken husbands. Antiope and a few other Amazons refuse to. They still dont trust men.

Hippolyta and Anacles turn the stronghold they captured into a city. They name it Themyscira. One day a messaged came that a group of Ares men are attacking a small village loyal to Themyscira. Anacles decides to take this men to battle them. When they arrive they that Ares's men are numering much greater than Anacles expected. Plus Ares is leading them himself. Anacles and his men fight bravely but are defeated. Ares then marches on to Themyscira under diguse of being Anacles's men. They take the city and imprison the Amazons. He thens kills all the men and boys including Hippolyta's son with Anacles. The stress of this also causes Hippolyta to miscarry her second child.

Hippolyta prayes to her mother begging for help. Hera does just that. She gives the Amazons greater strength which allows the to break their bonds. They defeat Ares and his army. Ares is than imprisoned a tomb for all time. Hera then creates Paradise Island where can live protected from Man's world. The movie ends in the Late 20th century with Hippolyta mixing up some clay on the shore. She adds her blood and Anacles's blood from the necklace into the clay. She then makes a baby from it which and brings to life. She names the child Diana.

Beautifully done, now send that to the idiots at DC. I actually think thats really good, and certainly keeps to the spirit of the original. I believe as well in Greek Mythology, Hippolyta queen of the amazons was Zeus and Heras child. But its better just Hera makes her. On a side note It is later revealed that Hera had to appeal to the Gods to grant Hippolyta a child, finally five Goddess agree turning against Zeus and grant Hippolyta a child as long as the child becomes their champion, as such they gift the unborn seed of Hippolyta powers. what do you think?

Good stuff ;) but I think the story should be explained in an epic wonder woman film in brief, rather than be a film in itself. Kind of like the superman donner film where you see how Krypton came to be destroyed and how Clark came to earth.
