I've accepted the critics, man... And I can speak English (also, google translator sucks), but probably not as good as an American, for example... Additionally, this is my first Batman fan-fic, so don't expect too much xD the next ones will be better

First of all, check out the previous parts of the story: Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5!

Part 6 – Rogue

METROPOLIS POLICE STATION

“W-what do you want from us?” Asked a terrified police officer, with a strange weapon pointed to his head.

“An umbrella? You gotta be kidding me…” Commented the Parasite.

“I told you, officers, our request is simple. Just call the Justice League and tell them you need help,” answered a man in a big armor.

“We’d never invite them to a trap!” Yelled one of them.

“Is that so?”

“No, of course not! I’ll call them… Just don’t hurt us,” said a thin young man.

“That’s better.”

The man searched for a strange communicator, with the initials “JLA” on it. He then pressed some buttons and waited.

“This is J’onn J’onzz from the Watchtower. Who is on the line?”

“I’m Steve, a police officer...” He said, shaking. “My friends and I were made hostages here… We need your help.”

“Be careful. Did they see you?” Asked the Martian.

“No, I hid just in time.”

“How many hostiles are we talking about?”

“Not many, but they’re all monsters. Lex Luthor, Metallo…”

Lex couldn’t hide a subtle smile.

“This is a highly dangerous situation. I will send whoever I can.”

“P-please send the major members… This is too scary…” Steve pretended.

“I will do what I can, and don’t let them find you. Martian Manhunter out.”

The villains cheered as they realized the plan was working with perfection. In a few minutes, tens of police cars were outside the police station. Along with them, Superman, Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan, Doctor Fate and Captain Marvel arrived as well.

“The five of them should easily be enough to defeat the others,” noticed Professor Ivo.

Outside the building, Superman asked the megaphone from and officer and declared, “Luthor, release the hostages now and we will avoid too much trouble.”

“As you wish, Superman!” Said Lex, from the inside.

“What are you doing? We don’t stand a chance against them!” Complained the Penguin.

“Shut up and pay attention, Cobblepot,” he answered. “We need them to get inside and fight. Parasite, are you ready?”

“Always.”

“Didn’t you hear Luthor? Go, all of you!” Shouted Metallo.

The hostages left the police station, running as fast as they could. “Be careful, all of you, it’s a trap,” said one of them to the League.

“We will have to fight them anyway. And those aren’t the strongest villains we ever fought,” informed Diana.

The heroes moved forward and entered the building.

“What are you waiting for? Attack,” said Lex.

A tremendous fight took place inside the station. In a few seconds, the Justice League had the upper hand. When they assumed it was over, Anthony Ivo, who had been hiding, shouted, “Now, Parasite! That’s enough meaningless fights!”

The creature ran in Superman’s direction, but was interrupted by Captain Marvel. He simply touched her and a small piece of his strange skin lodged in her body. They both stopped moving.

“Are you okay, Captain Marvel?” Asked the Man of Steel.

“You are the one who should be worried,” responded Lex Luthor. Suddenly, the chosen of Shazam attacked the League.

In the beginning, they once again had an advantage, but every time the Parasite touched one of them, the person started fighting the wrong enemies. It did not take too long to the entire group be obedient.

Somewhere else, not far from Gotham City, an incredible dark plane flew though the night sky.

“J’onn! J’onn!” Said the man piloting the plane.

“Batman, do you hear me?”

“Are the news I just received veridical?” He asked.

“Yes, I’m afraid…” The green man answered, with a dark tone in his voice. “A significant part of the Justice League has gone rogue.”

Thanks a lot for the comments and critics... I agree that I should be more descriptive and loyal to Joker's personality, but the thing is English isn't my first language, so it's a little hard to describe that much and to satisfactory develop the speech and thoughts of such a complex character xD

1th Chapter - 2nd Chapter

Chapter Three

By Dick Grayson

That night was cold, even for Gotham’s patterns. It was dark too… Thankfully, darkness and cold were not my enemies. Of course, I was already angry, but when I saw the place the clown had chosen to his next plan...

He kills the Batman, gets himself arrested, escapes a week later and attacks Wayne Tech’s building, whose owner had mysteriously disappeared. He might have destroyed the crime fighting hero, but I wouldn’t let him murder Bruce’s legacy.

The first thing I saw when I opened the tall company’s door was a laughing-to-death receptionist. He stared at my with a pair of insane eyes, begging for help with the last shred of his soul. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to save people. I could still smell the remains of Joker’s gas in the air.

“Where is him?!” I asked, trying to look as though as possible.

“Twentieth… Floor…”

I walked down to the elevator and left him there, restraining myself from taking him to a hospital or trying to help somehow.

Usually, the Joker would try to catch me in his sick games, cutting the elevator’s cables, for example. This time, though, there were no surprises. I simply arrived on the twentieth floor and met him alone. No thugs, no crazy girlfriend, and apparently no weapons.

“Hello there,” he said, smiling.

“What are you up for, Joker?”

“Straight to the point?” He asked. “Even he was more subtle.”

“I’m not him. And you definitely don’t deserve subtleties,” I responded.

“Okay, okay. I remember you being funnier… My plot is pretty simple, if that’s what you want to hear: I have this bomb that can cause a very big explosion… For some reason, it’s located inside Batsy’s greatest legacy HAHAHAH!

A small piece of information in his plot made me really nervous.

“How could you possibly know that?”

“I’m crazy, not dumb! When Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham after his self-exile, the Batman is seen for the first time. When the Batman falls, Wayne disappears again? I doubt I’m the only one who noticed that’s, at least, strange… And anything is hardly strange for me!”

“You’re sick. Even Arkham wasn’t made for someone like you…” I commented.

“Can’t argue there…” He admitted. “But if it was, we wouldn’t have that much fun! Now, don’t you wanna know my plot?”

I stood silent. He would tell me anyway.

“You’re quite the mood breaker, kid. The thing is this will be my final great act. Just before you came in, I ate the trigger for a bomb that is charged by heat…. Human heat too. Despite the metal taste, it was quite good.”

“I will find the bomb and deactivate it. And then I’ll come for you.”

“It’s a time bomb! Stop bluffing, you’ll never do it, unless…”

“Unless what?” I jumped on him and brought him to the ground.

“Unless the heat is… off… HA…HA...” He tried to laugh, but I wouldn’t let him.

It took me a few seconds to finally understand. He wanted me to kill him. Maybe that was his only goal from the beginning: to corrupt his nemesis, turn someone good into him, an agent of chaos. If I decided not to do it, he would win anyway.

“He was your only joy of living…” I said, perplex.

“Wait, wait! There’s more! There are tens of gas bombs activated by vibration in the sewers right now. I bet this explosion will make the city vibrate enough to make boom! ”

A deep fear ran through my bones. It was no joke.

“Why? Why do you insist on this suicidal genocide plans?” I yelled.

He didn’t answer. His disturbing face staring at me with true pleasure.

“I’ll end your life now, you maniac. That’s what I came here for, after all…”

By some reason, his smile became larger.

“Good bye, Joker. After everything you’ve done, everybody will forget you in a few generations. He will be remembered forever, as a symbol of hope… While you die knowing that even your name remained unknown, even for you.”

I took from my belt a batrang that I kept as a souvenir after giving up the role of Robin. Slowly moved it closer to his neck.

This is it, I thought, now everyone he killed will be revenged, and Gotham, saved from its worst evil! That’s what he should have done…

“Except that he didn’t,” I said out loud.

“What?” He asked, pulled back to reality.

“Now I understand it. Bruce’s desire of killing you wasn’t any inferior to mine, but the man he was never allowed him do what he knew that was wrong.”

“Oh, not that old speech again!” He shouted. “You better know something, kid: in his last moments, he was about to kill me!”

“You never had the chance of seeing his decision,” I replied. “When I was on my way, I was sure that, when the police arrived, they’d find nothing but a pale dead body in this room. But you would love that, wouldn’t you?”

“Why are you all so soft? Why can’t you see the world from my point of view at least once? I left Arkham because Dent told he was almost killed by Nightwing… That you were looking for vengeance!”

“You want me to do what you have always wanted him to do...” I realized. “But that would be too good for you.”

“Screw it! If you can’t do it, it will happen anyway, but this time, everybody goes with me! HAHAHAHAHAH!”

“I won’t let it.”

Right after saying that, I punched him so hard in the stomach he couldn’t prevent himself from throwing up. I got the trigger among some disgusting liquid and threw it on the floor. Fortunately, we both could see it slowly going off… When there were only third seconds left.

“Third seconds… Funny thing,” I said.

He didn’t seem to understand.

“If I had killed you, your body heat wouldn’t instantaneously disappear. The bomb would still explode.”

I will never know whether he was about to say something or not. Four officers entered the room so fast that I needed sometime to understand what was going on. It was the first time the Joker was captured without any last funny phrase or laughing.

Somehow, the anger that had been consuming me from almost a week was suddenly gone.

Don't forget to read the first chapter!

Chapter Two

By Alfred Pennywoth

It had been a week since master Bruce passed and the Batman disappeared. Everything was quiet, and young master Damian rarely left his room. For the first time since it happened, I was brave enough to enter the Batcave.

“Computer, turn on.”

“Voice command accepted. Alfred Pennyworth,” said a female voice.

I just stared at the huge screen for a couple minutes. Someone entered the cave, but fortunately, I had some espionage training as well.

“You have been using the Batcave, haven’t you, Dick?”

“I’m sorry I wasn’t at the funeral… I couldn’t take it. Despite our differences, Bruce was like a father to me,” he answered instead.

“I… Understand.”

“How is Damian doing?”

“I couldn’t tell. He hasn’t left his room more than three times this week. And he can’t even stand to his Robin suit.”

“This situation… It is horrible for you too, isn’t it?” He asked, comprehensive. “I remember when I was young, right after my parents died. During my first months as Robin, I used to think Bruce and I were equals, both solitary orphans, with no one else to call “mom” or “dad”.”

“I’m afraid I don’t see where this is going…”

“That idea was completely wrong. It took me sometime, but I realized that none of us were as alone as though: I had him, and he had you. Despite all of his trust issues, he’d always count on you. And you can count on me as well, Alfred.”

I couldn’t immediately respond.

“Thank you, Dick. It was heartbreaking to listen that someone you love as you’d love your own son was killed, and his body, so corroded by acid it could not be found.”

“But hey,” he said, “it’s not usual to see you using this computer.”

“Oh, I am shutting the cave down for good.”

“What? All of this is still important for me. Thanks to his incomparable software, I’m able to track down the bad guys and honor his memory! I just arrested Two-Face, for exemple.”

“In order to honor the Batman’s memory, I will not leave any incomplete job of him. Additionally, and more important, master Bruce wouldn’t want you to end up as broken as he did,” I confessed.

“Alfred, please. This is the only thing I can see myself doing. Gotham needs a symbol like the Batman.”

“If that is really your wish, so be it. But promise me that if the job starts messing with your mind, you will quit it… I’m almost ninety years old; you wouldn’t deny the last request of an old man.”

“I…” He was about to answer when the computer alerted us about my worst fear.

He escaped,” said Dick, furious. He activated the Batmobile.

“Master Dick, wait!” I shouted. “What are you going to do?”

“What needs to be done. I will give this demon what he deserves.”

I wanted to say so much, but it was too late. Nightwing were already gone.

Chapter One

By the Joker

I remember it was dark… But, he was there, so what else could it be? (Laughs) Yes, dark. Definitely dark. It happened a year ago, maybe two, but who’s counting? Time isn’t important. Him and me are all that matter.

Oh, and the place as well. It brings me so much good memories. That chemical factory. The very place I was born. The very place the bat fell. Maybe this story never really happened, but who am I to tell?

It is dark. My dear Harley and I, for the thousandth time, are about to spread happiness through our beloved Gotham. What is better than everyone laughing for all eternity? Nothing, of course, but he has to spoil it again! Or try to… HAHAHAHAHAH!

“I’m touched, you came,” I say, as thrilled as I can be as he throws the last of my henchmen in front of my feet.

“It is over, Joker. Give up.” No matter how many years have passed, his voice never loses its frightening tone that I love.

“Get away from my boyfriend, Bat-jerk!” Yells Harley, who actually believes she can beat someone like the Batman.

She jumps on him, but all he has to do is taking a step to the left and make her giant hammer hit the floor. The ramp starts shaking under our feet.

“Be careful, Puddin. I would hate to fall down there again, you know?”

Old Batsy keeps avoiding every attack until he finally sees an opening to give her a direct punch in the face. Poor Harley hits the ground, dizzy.

“Oh boy! You got old, but seeing you in action didn’t! I love it! I love it! Hey Harley, get on your feet so he can do it again!” Moments like that are what make me realize that’s what I want to do for a life-time.

“Now… Where were we?” He says, directing his gaze to my. I’m scared to the bones right now, and just as excited.

“Wait, Batsy… I picked this exactly place so we could have a good time, be reminded of epic moments. I don’t care about who wins, this is always funny! Come on, don’t you think so?”

His face gets a look that I have never seen. Suddenly, it’s not funny anymore.

“You don’t ever stop, do you? After all you did to Tim, Jason, Barbara… It’s never enough for you. Your greed for pain and suffering is endless. The more you cause, the more you desire…”

“But you have to admit that--” I try to say something I don’t quite remember right now, but he stops me, brutally squeezing my neck.

“I used to believe that crossing the line and killing you would make the Batman something he wasn’t supposed to be. I thought it would bring Gotham even more darkness… But, there is no greater darkness than your very existence.”

He isn’t kidding. Maybe he is really going to do it. But someone has to stop the greatest moment of both our lives!

“Get off Mr. J!” Haley shouts again, standing up and running to the bat. He should evade it, but he doesn’t.

She grabs him and they both fall from the ramp into the tank. The same one that conceived me. It takes me a while to notice, but the Batman is gone.

I hear the police coming. I can escape, but what’s the point? Truth be told, there is no point anymore.

Now, a simple thought of that day feeds my hatred for that woman. She took everything from me. Luckily, a new amusement was born later HAHAHAHAHAH!

If you wish to read the previous chapters, check them out: Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4

Part 5 - Strategy

SOMEWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES

“Gentlemen, now that you’re all here, we shall go on with this meeting.”

“But Lex, since your plan consists on the annihilation of the Justice League, do you really believe that only us will be enough?” Asks the Penguin.

“Professor Ivo, can you answer that for me?”

“The plan isn’t about destroying the Justice League. It think submitting is the best word to express it.”

Everybody exchange glances, surprised and confused.

“This morning, it has been a week since the League started capturing the fugitives we helped escaping,” says Lex. “They’re doing a good job, but exhaustion is inevitable.”

“Still, they’re way too much people right now. If only we had to fight the major members and no one else…” Confesses the Parasite.

“We will fight them, and only them. If the five of us command Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, the Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern and Flash, the other leaguers won’t stand a chance.”

“I had forgotten you were in prison for that long. The bat isn’t in the League anymore,” reveals the Penguin.

“What? Why?”

“A year ago, Savage assembled a team he called The Legion Doom to defeat the Justice League. I was among the members, and we tried to use Batman’s contingency plans to eradicate them for good,” explains Metallo.

“But?”

“Bane didn’t finish his mission, and the damn bat managed to save everyone. We fought them, but it proved useless.”

“I see,” Lex ponders. “These contingency plans can be an obstacle, but I highly doubt the Batman will pose a threat to the League by himself. Besides, he must feel to guilty for what happened to keep any plan.”

“Yeah, yeah, that must be true… All I care about is the Kryptonian…. That power, it felt the sun,” comments the Parasite.

“So, here’s what we’re going to do…”

Lex Luthor and Professor Ivo explain their master plan in details. Their audience eyes’, as wide as they could be.

“Did everyone understand every single step of what we explained?”

Everybody confirm.

“Great. Rest today, my friends, because tomorrow, the so called Justice League will be on our side.”
