You know what's weird. Powers isn't available on the PSN Network in Canada. Sony owns the network, why isn't it available wherever they are?

"three absolute, city-shattering catastrophes in about six years"

1) Zero Year. Gotham City is flooded, Riddler takes over city.
2) Batman Eternal. Entire city burning, Arkham Asylum destroyed, several villains on the loose.
3) Batman: Endgame. Joker turned entire city into joker-ized zombie people with the Joker toxin.

OMG. This would have been the perfect way to introduce black Nick Fury into the regular 616-Universe instead of the STUPID way they did it.

Are Multiversity,ARKHAM MANOR and GOTHAM ACADEMY canon ?

I think so. Multiversity takes place in alternate universes though, like how Earth 2 is an alternate universe.

I really don't understand when people complain about "too many of ___ books on the shelf" They do the same thing with Batman for DC. Just..don't read them then. There are literally hundreds of other comics to choose from. The Avengers make money, of course Marvel will endorse them heavily.

The reason why it bothers me, as well as other people I suspect, is because I like to feel like I'm not missing out on anything. So although I don't read all of them, I read a lot of them, sometimes I don't even enjoy them that much, for e.g. Hickman's Avengers books I've been pretty disappointed with, but I read them anyway... If Marvel could just keep it to one or two Avengers books, even if they weren't the greatest, I would like it. That's kind of why I like the Ultimate Universe, because I can read the 3-4 books, and get the "whole picture". Several decades ago Marvel & DC used to publish around 10-15 ongoing books a month, as opposed to the ridiculous 50+ ongoing books they do now.

1) Avengers 2) New Avengers 3) Avengers World 4) Secret Avengers 5) Uncanny Avengers 6) Mighty Avengers 7) Avengers Undercover 8) Avengers Assemble. 8 books! It's too many, so many of them are also composed of roughly the same although slightly different team members. Sometimes I feel less is more, and would be more enjoyable to keep it down to just one or two really solid books.

Totally agree with the reviews negatives. Batman was getting slammed with these huge metal objects by Bane, and was perfectly fine. And Batman did nothing to outsmart or special to take Bane down, he just out punched him. Batman has no super powers or super strength, I don't think he should be able to beat the super powered high on venom Bane in a sheer slugfest.

I stopped at issue 2, I wanted to wait for the series to end to read it in one sitting. It sounds like it got really terrible as it went on though. But I do concur, that issue 1 was a masterpiece, so good, and beautiful art.

Punisher Max actually is my favourite Jason Aaron Marvel Comics run. I put it above Thor and Wolverine & The X-Men.

No question. Dark Knight Returns. All-time favourite Batman story, epic in scope, love seeing Batman near the end of his career. Year One is just a good origin story. Both of these were made into animated movies as well, Dark Knight Returns wins out in that format too.
