this is my suspected pull-list for the year
X-men, by Wood and Coipel. This is by far the title I am most anticipating in the foreseeable future. So pumped about this
Uncanny X-force, by Humphries and Garney. The first issue was a blast, and I can't wait to see more. Storm and Psylocke make such a good team, and Puck's always fun. Also interested in seeing what Bishop's up to now..
Uncanny X-men, by Bendis and Bachello. This title has potential; though I'm still on the fence about how well this creative team will suit the tone, I can't wait to find out.
All New X-men, by Bendis and Immonen/Marquez. This book, on the other hand, has been a lot of fun so far. Will it be one of the great X-men runs? Seems pretty unlikely, but it has been fun. And the art, oh my crap, the art is so beautiful.
Wolverine and the X-men, by Aaron and others. I really wanted to love this book, but so far it's been way too all over the place in terms of the cast, the concept, the tone.. pretty much everything. I kept meaning to cancel it, but I'm glad I stuck around for issue 24, which I actually enjoyed a lot. If this book can keep up this level of entertainment, and preferably get D.Lopez as it's regular artist, I'll probably stick around.
Avengers, by Hickman and various. Four issues in, I'm surprised to say, this is exactly what I think the main Avengers title should be. Every issue so far just feels so epic. I love the large cast, it's got almost all of my favourite Avengers and I like that they've introduced a bunch of new ones. Quickly becoming one of my favourite books.
New Avengers, by Hickman and Epting. In terms of characterization and tone, this book is making a really nice counterpoint to the main Avengers title. I've always liked the idea of the Illuminati, and all of these characters are just so strong. Again, it just all feels so epic.
Uncanny Avengers, by Remander and Cassaday. Even with Cassaday on pencils, this book has yet to wow me; I like the story okay, but there doesn't feel like there's enough personality coming from the characters yet. But Cassaday is great, and I heard Daniel Acuna would be working on the next arc, so I'm willing to give this one a chance.
Hawkeye, by Fraction and various. This is my favourite book right now. Every issue is great, all of the artists are great; if you aren't reading the everyday adventures of Hawkeye & Hawkeye, you really should be.
Daredevil, by Wade and various. This is also my favourite book right now. Every issue is great, all of the artists are great; if you haven't read this, you should.
Daredevil: End of Days, by Bendis and Janson/Sienkiewicz. Mostly reading this one out of curiosity for a cool mystery. And the art is just perfect.
Adventure Time, by various and various. What can I say? I see this on the shelf, and I just can't help myself. And I haven't been disappointed yet.
Batwoman, by J.H.WilliamsIII with others. What part of J.H.WILLIAMS III do you not understand, mutherlicker?
