This story would have been much better suited for a back-up in an annual. Even as someone who is a completist with titles like this, this is an issue I really didn't want to buy, so I didn't.

That's the first piece by Alex Ross that I've absolutely loved!
He became an even more favorite guest when he mentioned TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA -- love that movie!!!
Dennis Calero is one of my favorite guests. Always interesting and fun to listen to.
@daltonmunnal: Take the radical re-design of The Creeper, example. Even if he was still Jack Ryder and worked for WHAM-TV, the new costume is simply horrible and makes it impossible for me to even TRY reading anything with him in it. The costume may not be the defining factor of a character, but in a visual medium like comics, there's a reason why one costume works better than another.
Seeing what they've done to the Green Goblin and Electro in the new movie, there's no reason to be excited for a Sinister Six movie. Green Goblin and Electro look totally different, and while the original costumes from the comics probably look hokey to the majority of mainstream movie goers, that's what they look like to any of us who have been reading the comics for years. Why bother using these characters if they're going to change them so drastically?
Waiting for the trade on this one is a huge mistake. I just bought and read the first installment and it's instantly become my favorite new comic. Just a solid, brilliant start to what promises to be even more solid and brilliant. As for buying it on Comixology -- buy it directly from the creators themselves at www.thebunkercomic.com instead. They won't have to split the money with Comixology, and you get a file you can keep.
