@jnr6lil: Many of those guys, their situations weren't the same as Garner's. If your point is that the cops aren't perfect and have gotten away with murder. I'm not going to say you're wrong. But there's too many people out there straight up defending criminals. Eric Garner should not have been the poster boy for police violence.
I'm going to keep this simple.
I'm Hispanic. Puerto Rican to be exact and I still believe if you resist arrest in any form, whatever the cops do to you, you brought it on yourself. This is not the 80's. You have to do a lot for cops to get rough in NY now.
I've had this discussion many times with different guys, and you sound just like the rest of them. Either you want to commit or you're already committing what you believe to be small crimes. And you want leniency or you want to walk away for the crimes you committed or committing.
It's not rocket science, this is the truth. 99% of the time you have to do something for the cops to come and get you. If you did something, you know you did something, be man enough to take the punishment and go along peacefully, or take Eric Garner or anyone else's route, and end up just as dead as they are. I'm not saying that the cops are always innocent and I can think of one that really should be rotting in jail for the rest of his life. But this is so close to being truth it's almost an undisputable fact: Do what the police tell you and you will most likely live.
