@FiguredOut95: I loved The Spirit and found it absolutely hilarious. Granted, I was kind of drunk, but the Minions and the whacky dialogue ("Something...dental? Dental and NAZI.")--not to mention Sand Sariff's butt-copier scene--make the film something of satirical pulp masterpiece. Little touches, like the perky girl cop texting on her Nokia in what is obviously a Depression/WWII-era also made me chuckle. It's like Sin City meets Batman & Robin!

And before you ask, I thought Sin City was way too melodramatic and Miller's visual effects did not transition well to the big screen at all. The inverted black-and-white sections in particular made it look like the characters were bleeding milk.........or worse................................

Totally. I'd rather have Grodd...or even Bizarro! Ice vision and fire breath, anyone? 8D

@time: Well, she is more interesting than pre-Phoenix Jean Grey and the X-Men do need a resident psychic at all times (especially now that Charles is dead). But then again, I can't help but think the stripperiffic costume didn't have something to do with her promotion.

To be fair, though, Grant Morrison did a lot with her character, positioning her as Scott Summer's foil (you know, before Scott went crazy and tried to take over the world). Hmmm..........

@jhazzroucher: I think she was treated as an A-lister until recently. Nowadays, Marvel seems to be playing Black Widow as their main female, with Captain Marvel as a close second. It sucks, it really does.

Storm was never treated as an A-lister but she still manages to be on top of all the female characters of Marvel.

Yeah. I'm still ticked off that they chose Psylocke as the designated female in the Marvel Super Heroes arcade game. :(

You should also, if you haven't already, read Game of Thrones (don't watch it; read it) because the series really is a game-changer in the world of fantasy.

Anyhow, I hope this helps. Write long and prosper!
