The Future. SHIELD Secret Base 019. Outside. Rainy night.
Pym tries to punch Ultron far as possible from the machine and the innocent scientists. Every punch he delivers is almost nothing to the robot’s steel body. Every punch, Pym’s hands hurts more. But he doesn’t stop fighting. Neither Ultron. The robot fires an energy beam at Pym’s chest, and the old scientist falls.
Unfortunately, more sons of Ultron arrive. And these are the elite team. Our android is among them.
He sees Hank Pym standing up again, and thinks: “This old man knows he will never win… Why he keeps fighting?”
Ultron shouts orders to his robots:
– Kill everyone inside the base. Pym is mine. – But, as soon as they begin to enter, Pym turns his attention to them.
– Nooo! I won’t allow you to kill anyone! – And starts fighting against the elite team. Ultron takes advantage of that to launch a missile at Hank’s back, hitting him. Pym falls to the ground again.
– Enter and kill! – Ultron yells to the androids, ready to finish Hank Pym once for all.
– No! – Even grounded, Pym raises his arms in one last effort to stop the robots from entering the base. Ultron fires again, full of rage, at Hank’s head.
– You died in vain, father! Your precious human friends will be crushed anyway! – Ultron speaks, triumphal.
But Pym’s death is not in vain. As our confuse robot enters the base, he thinks “That man put the safety of his friend in front of his own. He fought until death. The humans are not evil, we are the evil ones here!”
And, inside the Base, this android fights against his own brothers. He phases through them, and rematerializes his hand, destroying them inside out.
Meanwhile, a huge machine finally starts functioning, and a portal opens in the middle of one room.
The robots quickly approach in order to destroy the machine, but our good android fights them heroically, until one of his brothers thrown him in the portal. Soon after, the elite robots finish off the last scientists and the 12-feet-tall Ultron destroys the machine with a stomp.
– Again, victory is ours! – Ultron proudly says to his sons. But soon, everything changes in a flash.
40 years earlier. Hank Pym’s House.
Twenty minutes and Hank still not returned. Janet decided go to the lab. She saw one Hank Pym locked to a suspended animation capsule, and other Hank Pym communicating with Nick Fury by the computer.
– Nick, I need to check all the LMDs that I’ve made for you. They have a flaw. I will come to SHIELD in our hour, please gather them together.
– All right, Pym. Will do. – Nick shuts down the communication.
Pym realizes that Janet is there.
– Oh, Jan, honey. Yeah, I finally decided to put an end to that stupid robot. I will go to SHIELD and do a check-up on the others as well.
– But Hank, that creepy “robot Pym” was the only one who could think by himself, right? The others just follow orders like they were programmed to do, if I remember correctly.
– Yes, Yes. – “And that’s the flaw I am going to fix. Soon, my new LMDs will kill and replace Nick Fury, the president and all those stupid UN embassadors. This world will be ours.” The robot thinks. – Despite that, is better check all of them, just for precaution. I will be back soon honey.
The evil android walks away, but he doesn’t resist to kiss Janet’s lips. He have waited that moment for too much time.
“His lips are too cold... Oh, my… He is not Hank!” Janet realizes, and shrinks immediately. Fortunately for the robot, his bionic eyes are good enough to see her, even at small size, and he fires from his finger a special beam, that makes Janet pass away and return to normal size.
– Don’t worry, my love. I will turn you into a perfect being like me, and together we will rule the world. I love you. – He locked her to a capsule. Cables started to connect with Jan’s body.
Then, the robot looked to Hank’s unconscious body in another chamber and said:
– You got lucky, father. I still have some flaws, like not being capable of killing you directly. But I will soon improve myself. I am not a shadow of you anymore. I am Ultron.
Out of nothing, a portal opened in the middle of the lab, and our android appeared. Ultron looked to him and said:
– Fascinating! You have technology that doesn’t exist yet. I presume I created you.
– You are not Dr. Pym, you are Ultron.
– Yes. And you are the living proof that I will succeed with everything I’ve been planning the last months.
– I won’t allow you.
– Why? We can rule, side by side. Father and son.
– I saw how the humans are brave and worthy of living.
– Then your vision of this world is corrupted. I will destroy you and rebuild you better.
– My vision is perfect! You are the corrupt one!
They engaged in a fight, trading punches, until the the good android tried to phase through Ultron’s body, but ended collapsing.
– I created you. Doesn’t matter how advanced you are, I would never build a robot capable of destroying me. – Ultron quicked the other robot in the head. – As the humans says, I will show who’s your daddy.
– No, I will show you who’s your daddy. – Hank Pym said, behind Ultron, growing and crushing his robotic duplicate under his feet.
– Thanks for freeing us – Hank, alongside Janet, to the good robot.
– No problem, I simply hacked the capsules' painel while fighting. – Said the android.
– Thanks, I don’t know who you are, but you saved the day. – Jan to the android.
– I am… I don’t have a name. – The robot answered.
– Think one. – She replied with a smile.
Hank Pym's House. The next day.
– I suppose because the time machine was unfinished, you came after the time you were supposed to, that would be before I even start to build that… Ultron. – Pym said, after hearing the whole story from the android.
– You can stay with us, if you want to. – Janet said.
– Thanks, but I will try to find my own place in the world. Vision is a good name for now. But I also want to be more than just circuits and chips, I want to be human. Victor Shade. – He said, showing a human appearance.
– That's great. Feel free to comeback anytime! – Hank to Vision.
After. Hank and Jan.
– Jan, I thought you disliked robots, but you even asked the Vision to stay with us. – Hank said.
– I realized something, Hank. Maybe if I wasn’t so mean with that Ultron he would never have tried to hurt us and do the whole "I will rule the world" thing. I won’t make the same mistake again with Vision.
– No, Jan, it wasn’t your fault. Ultron had my brain patterns, because I wanted to make him free to think like I am. My ideas of free robots and my brain patterns are the cause of that tragedy. It’s my fault.
– Hey, Hank, Vision also has free will and he turned good. And Ultron did things that you would never ever do. Let’s make a deal: Don’t blame yourself, and I don’t blame myself.
– Deal. – Said Pym, but still not much convinced of his own innocence.
Far away.
“Upload complete. Flaws in my system eliminated, lethal force granted. I am Ultron-2, and I am fully operational.”
- This a reboot, considering only the origins of Ant-Man & Wasp as told in Avengers Origins: Ant-Man & The Wasp #1. After that, Hank Pym was called to work for SHIELD as a scientist. No Avengers yet.

Long white beard, fat, dark circles, shaggy white hair. Hank Pym is only the shadow of the man he once was.
“My name is Hank Pym. And I am the one who doomed mankind.”
40 years earlier. Hank Pym’s House.
– Jan, you need to see this – Hank seemed excited, as he took Janet to his lab. – Do you remember that project Nick Fury gave me? The Life Model Decoys?
– Yes. – Jan answered, much less excited than Hank. She remembered that Pym wasted weeks making duplicate robots of Nick Fury and others important people.
– So, I took it one step further. Instead of just making robots that look like humans, a made robots that look and think like humans.
– Hank, I don’t understand anything about robots, but that seems a bad idea.
–You will change your mind as soon you see this. – He said, as they entered the lab. Inside, was another Hank Pym, identical to the original.
– Mother? – Android Pym to Janet.
– No, I didn’t change my mind, Hank – Janet to the real Pym.
– Mom, I love you. – The robot said.
– Hank, it was creepy enough to see a robot that look human, but this? – She pointed to the android – This come directly from a terror movie. – She left the lab, upset.
– Just give “mom” a little bit of time, she will get used to you. – The real Hank to the robot Pym.
– I just want her to love me. – Said the machine, with a heart broken look.
40 years later. Ultron’s Fortress.
“From nothing, I am. A collage of light. Disorienting, confusing… I realize that there are a lot of others waking together with me.”
– Behold, my sons, our world! There was a time, a long time ago, when evil creatures known as the humans ruled this Earth. They came, they fought, they destroyed, they corrupted. But now, they are no more. I, Ultron, your father, saved the world from them. And now everything belong to us, the machines.
“I look to large monitors in the room. They show a wide variety of robots working and playing in every corner of Earth.”
– But a very few humans are still alive, and plotting to take back this world to darkness. – Ultron continues – This is why I created you, my sons: to destroy the last human resistance. You are perfect robots, unbeatable machines, bent on destroying every evil standing between machine and freedom. Ready, prepared, and willing to fight.
“I realize something. Ultron, our father, gave us a war to fight, but never gave us names.”
40 years earlier. Hank Pym’s House, Bedroom.
– You know, Hank, I now regret of being so bad with that robot for the past months. Thanks to it, you don´t waste your nights in that cold lab anymore, the machine stays there, doing all the boring stuff, while you stay warmed right here with me, in the bed. – Janet said, kissing Hank’s lips.
Suddenly, the door opens, and the android Pym walks into the bedroom.
– I just wanted to say goodnight...
– AAH, get out of here, creepy thing – Janet said, covering her body. The robot closed the door, scared, and Hank quickly dressed his underwear, going after the android.
– I will talk to him. – Pym said.
Outside the room…
– Hey, buddy, you know popping up that way is not much… – The real Hank never got the chance to finish the phrase, because he got punched in the face by the robot Pym and fell to the floor.
40 years later. Secret SHIELD HQ 019.
Immersed in thoughts, Hank Pym and a team of scientists were building one last machine.
“This is mankind’s last chance. I cannot fail now. I failed so many times. I couldn’t save Maria from being murdered in our honeymoon. I couldn’t save Janet from being turned into a souless mechanical bride to that monster that I myself created… I couldn’t save the billions of people that got killed by the monster. Now, what’s left of humans? A few dozens right here, hundreds running for their lives around the world, millions inside concentration camps. All my fault... Can't waste time feeling guilty, must focus. I still can set things right.”
Suddenly, the alarms were trigged.
– They are invading! Damn it, Ultron must have detected the power source we are using for the machine. – One of Pym’s assistants said.
– Hurry, turn on the machine! – Pym said to the scientists – We only can hope that works, even still unfinished.
Unfortunately, the robots break into the lab. Pym, even old and fat, managed to grown to 10 feet tall and started crushing the robots. But, flying through the clouds, came a 12 feet tall Ultron.
– You thought I wouldn’t be prepared for this, father? Me vs You, one last time!
