what are you talking about? How is that picture not epic? Look at how good the whole picture is drawn, it truly captures the essence of batman as a hero. That thor picture is just awfull.

you want an epic picture of Thor here's 2

Superman's return was fine because it was done in a manner that didn't make it inconsequential. It had long running consequences. Various characters still talked about it years after superman came back.

Cap, didn't read that one so I won't comment. Same thing on Martian.
But Jason Todd was so disapointing. His motivations for his behavior are so cliché (I died so I'm going to go all vigilante killer as for vengeance) I mean, how more cliché can you get? There's nothing original or subtle about his behavior. I honestly believe he's something of a loser now.

"I thought it was the other way around, as so far as Ember Stone and Glacier Stone go. Ember was aligned with the Angelus I thought. And Glacier aligned with the Darkness. During Broken Trinity didn't Angelus call her "a pretender"?  Likewise in the first issue of Broken Trinity the past Ember and Glacier wielders clash and the ember wielder accuses him of mindless destruction.  Curator even tells Fin in issue 2 that he's an agent of destruction. I think fire is supposed to be life while ice is destruction. (...) And maybe its not about their power or even how they were created, but rather how the things they embody relate to humanity as a whole. The Blood Sword uses blood and death to give it's wielder power, while the Spear of Destiny uses blood and death for the benefit more or less of all. Selfishness versus altruism.  Just a thought. "
This is true... my bad, on the glacier stone and the ember stone

interesting thought. But that also begs on the purpose of the wheel of shadows and the Rapture. Dunno, the entire purpose of the 13 is still quite foggy.

I wouldn't have minded if spiderman had just stayed unmasked if it makes sense in the storyline. Same thing with aunt may dying, if she dies let her stay dead. Any comic book universe should be dynamic, but most of the times when any character comes back from the dead, it's just a caveat to restore the same stupid status quo. that's bad writting period. It's also bad writting to bring back a character simply because they can't come up with a new villain or a new character to meet.

Jason Todd's return was horribly convulted and badly done in my opinion and his change into an antagonist was disappointing to use a euphamism. The way they changed him was just so cliché. and it's not like creating an entirely new villain is impossible even for Batman. Look at Hush or earlier Bane. They worked and they were new.

I guess all I'm trying to say is if a character comes back from the dead the justification should be epic as should the consequences. saddly most of the times in comics they aren't

" I'm trying to think of artifacts I've heard from the tales of old.  Excalibur (Too obvious?) Holy Grail Necronomicon Ex Mortis Philosopher's stone The Trident of Posiedon Helmet of Hades The Thunderbolt   But it's mainly biblical stuff isn't it? I've never actually read any topcow comics but Broken Trinity looks pretty cool. Will I be satisfied if I order this series and read it? "

Yes, Witchblade is awesome...

It can't be excalibur thought because is the Top Cow universe Excalibur is just a shard of the Witchblade. After the Story Arc with Kenneth Iron's son i think one of the 13 might be the Holy Grail...

Start with #1 seriously. You can get the first 50 issues in a massive trade paperback easy as pie and relatively cheap.  The most of the rest of the major story arcs are also easily available as trades. So there's no reason to start at issue 150 and miss out a lot of important arcs

I don't think Ultimate spiderman will ever be as strong as 616 spiderman frankly speaking. His powers are described as spider-related but unlike 616 he's said to specifically have the proportional strenght of a spider like the 616 one.

Ultimate spiderman #3 I think has this info. And he constantly shows lower feats of strenght. So I don't know 616 seems more powerful even in his normal incarnation. With his totem spider-powers from the Other story arc then it' s not a contest 616 spiderman is definitively more powerful.
