This was hell.
Geysers of lava erupted from a distance as the sound rippled from a distance. Droids skimmed along the rivers of the glowing molten rock, completing whatever assignment they were accomplishing on this planet. The skies were black as a piece of coal. It were as if the existence of the sun were that of legend. The light of the planet glowed from the hellish glow of the molten rock slowly flowing through the surface of the planet.
Through the wide window of the abandoned factory, the Crimson Eagle looked at this hellscape unfazed. A blank look in his cold eyes as his mind fixated on the reprimand of his master.
“HHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN”
Electricity crackled throughout the body of the Mindless Soldier. His muscles tensed as his teeth began to break through the mouth guard placed in his mouth. The webbing of the veins in his eyes slowly become more pronounced under the strain. The restraints on his arms and legs kept Crimson in place.
“You’ve failed me my soldier,” a calm and eerie voice spoke as he slowly paced back and forth in front of his experiment. “You failed in the last tournament… let this be a reminder that I do not give second chances.”
The former Champion of Peace slowly walked through the halls of the factory, slowly scanning the area, determining the cause of its shutdown. He enters what seems to be the command central, only to stop and look at the battle damage done. Surely it wasn’t his opponent who did this; this was done a long time ago. There were bizarre slashes across the monitors, the keys and even the ground. What made this so distinct from that of a blade or even claws, was how clean they were, as if the blade melted right through the equipment.
The Soldier ran his right hand across the site of the damage, feeling the smoothed-out edges as he walked toward the exit and into the hallway. He was informed of two opponents in this round; very unusual for this tournament. But regardless, he would not fail his master. If anything, this was to prove his worth once more.
A figure turned the corner, there he was, the first of the two. For a brief second, the Crimson Eagle locked eyes with the clam demeanor of the hooded figure. Within a moment, the calm look of his opponent melted into an exploding rage. The man before him disappeared and a snarling beast appeared. He grinned at the soldier, revealing his grisly teeth. A soft glow emitted behind teeth before opening his mouth. BOOM! An glaring shot of orange energy at the Soldier.
The sound of the blast disoriented the Crimson Eagle, his ears rang. He had to react quickly. The Soldier’s organic vibranium wings began to unfold from his back, he felt the vibration of the sharp feathers grazing against each other as he attempted to wrap his wings into a cocoon shield himself. But to no avail. The blast launched the Soldier backwards into the control room, ripping through the doors by the sheer force of the explosion. Slamming into the second door, his wings outstretched in order to hold his place. The Eagle gritted his teeth as he knelt down one knee with his head down. His left vibranium hand placed flat upon the floor with his right hand touching his singed chest. Everything was muted, as if his ears were stuffed.
The Eagle’s hand felt vibrations coming from a distance and suddenly, he thought of his master. Fear, anger, and frustration overwhelmed him.
BOOM-BOOM, BOOM-BOOM, BOOM-BOOM.
“You’ve failed me…”
BOOM-BOOM, BOOM-BOOM, BOOM-BOOM
“HHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!”
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM
The Beast was charging straight for him with no mercy. In an instant, the Soldier’s eyes glowed red, his head shot up as he aimed for his foe, estimating his location through vibrations felt by his augmented arm. His intention was to return the favor to the Brute, sending him flying out to the hellish landscape and take the battle there. He would mimic his foe, unleashing his own rage as he would follow through with a charging attack. His wings would surround his body as he would spin in the air, aiming to directly slice his foe in a direct approach whilst unleashing a cascade of his sharp feathers as well.
This Beast will die in this hell.
