Especially with comic book based TV shows like Smallville making even more changes. Between the two mediums, changes are inevitable and it just depends if I like the story. In the case of movies like Batman & Robin and Ang Lee's Hulk, I didn't like them mostly for the story. Same with TV shows like Smallville.
I've had the same icon since I joined and just changed it for the I Avatar quest. I have lots of images but I never thought about a need or reason to change the icon.
Good examples would be Inferno, Messiah Complex, Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, Civil War, Annihilation, WWH, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Invasion, Final Night, Sinestro Corps War, Blackest Night and several others.
I really expect a balance between good art and good writing. Great writing will usually get me past terrible art but then the overall book won't be as impressive to me.
Yes I like to watch them and Hancock was ok. I wasn't blown away by the movie. Unbreakable was interesting but I couldn't get into this movie as much either. I just wasn't drawn into it.
Sometimes I'll wait till I get to my room to read my books. There are times when I'm in a discussion at the LCS and I'll just pull out a book to read while I'm talking with the guys. Sometimes end up talking and hanging out at the LCS for a couple of hours.
My favorite catagory is superheroes I suppose although I do like other genres as well. Horror comics comes close to a tie with superhero comics then the rest such as sci-fi, western, fantasy, war stories, etc. Like most people, superhero comics were what got me interested in reading comic books when I was younger probably around 5 or 6. Superhero comics are the ones I'd pick as my favorites and I am also interested when thay are able to mix with other genres.
