I've also felt that her costume has been overdue for a redesign. So many oddly fitting parts. And I don't think some tweaking of her origin could hurt.

Captain Marvel is a great character and I personally love his costume, but I think his character can be very well served with a re-design/re-tweaking of his character's history.
