"I recognise him," Cormac pointed to the image Bradshaw showed, his fists curling into balls. Whoever that group was had one hundred percent been after this same list of mutants. Cormac looked away from the Maverick employee and huffed loudly, his wrists cracking as he tensed his muscles as though he was preparing for a fight.
What the hell was he doing here? He wasn't a hero. Not a mutant defender, this wasn't his fight. This was barely his house. Cormac wanted to walk away. Instead, he turned to Bradshaw. "He isn't your typical Knightfall." The clawed mutant cracked his shoulders with a loud crunch, metal grinding upon metal wasn't a pleasant sound.
"That man on the recorder attacked here a few days ago with...." This was just ridiculous. "...The elephant in the room? Who the crap was that ninja just now? He had the exact image of the man who turned up here, working with the one you just showed. What aren't you telling us?" Cormac rudely snapped his fingers in front of Bradshaw's face and stepped up into him, looking at the man before dismissively shoving him aside and starring back at Ruby.
"During the entire attack, the man only said a sentence to me..." Cormac stepped back and sighed, having been pondering those words for quite a while since. Slowly, he looked up at Ruby, his eyes briefly glancing at Bradshaw with a knowing stare. What he would reveal next was indicative of a very bad omen.
"This is not the war."
The mutant echoed, eerily similar to how the Silent King had done so. "You have the face of the man who attacked from that ninja. Run it through recognition. Never know, might get lucky." The Eden owner shrugged. "Put some of those pretty resources of yours into finding out who our masked ninja is, he clearly knows more than is letting on."
Cormac looked back at Eden, knowing there were many people inside whose own fates were to be decided. "I'm obviously not alone here." He raised his voice and spoke to the members of Eden. "I'm not your leader, just a guy who owns this crap mansion. If ya want revenge for that attack, STRIKE's your best bet." He glanced at Ruby. "This ain't my fight, I've did my duty and helped your little crew. You know that list ain't here. Now get the **** off of my property because there's nothing left for me to tell."
Cormac turned around and began to leave, knowing a fight was out of the question. Neither Maverick nor STRIKE could afford an international incident with the UK, fighting a homeowner in Scotland would be a stupid move.
