Now that's intense ! It is often said that these (EXTREME) punishments are to discourage people from commiting crimes in the first place. However it doesn't seem to stop rapists in afghanistan or saudi arabia. Though i think they represent islam in the worst way possible.
Not only that but you can be executed for not being a muslim in certain countries as well.
i don't think it's not being a muslim is what puts you on death row, it's the fact that you converted FROM islam.
That and actually for just not being a muslim in the first place.
Also regarding your other comment about criminals in prison living off of tax payers.It actually costs alot to put them on death row and get them executed also many criminals can be on death row for years.It really isn't as quick as people who are pro death penalty would initially like to think.
Also another factor to consider is the mental implications it has on the actual people performing the executions.

2: They probably don't pick a random voulunteer to preform executions, i'm sure they do a background and mental check first. They probably handpick people with nerves of steel.

No that's not true it can have an effect on the person doing the executions over a long period.A job like putting people to death will take its toll on people.
Religion is not even part of capital punishment and it is way different from killing a little girl or infant.religion has nothing to with this so quit mentioning that dilemma
What? I didn't actually bring it up in the first place but even so I/we shall talk about what we want and it is somewhat relevant to the subject since atheists are executed for just that since in some countries it is considered a crime (disgusting I know)

I made the first post regarding religion and its punishments. He replied, bringing up the fact that some muslim countries execute people for not being muslim.
