I was rewatching Iron Man on the weekend and that is the same reporter from that move, name and actress. They could actually do a lot of web vids with her IMO.

To me the big takeaway is just how much control it appears Marvel has, that's super interesting.

@laylah: Alright this is my last comment on the matter, because you've proven closed minded enough to not be worth any more time. I do not agree, you're resisting a change you know nothing about and you're either too resistant to changes in adaptation to the extent that I wonder if you even enjoy most of these movies (did Iron Man 3 piss you off?) or worst case you're racist. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume its the former, which is still not great.

@maccyd: Because they've proven they can use them as a basis for new ideas, Guardians of the Galaxy looked nothing like the comic that proceeded it, but by saying it was a comic book the mainstream gives it a shot.

@ramior: Nope Superman, Spider-man, Batman, Wonder Woman, even the Hulk all mainstream examples, but go out to the street and see who knows shit about DS.

@maccyd: I've already presented evidence that Not White people can be Barons and this has been the case for a very long time.

@laylah: That's not a cogent argument, their new spin which we haven't seen can't possibly be more fresh or interesting than what we've already seen. Womp womp.

@ramior: I got news for you Dr. Fucking Strange is an obscure character, before the first movie Iron Man was an obscure character, we are talking about the mass consciousness here, not just us who visit comicvine.

@laylah: yeah and its nothing new for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Changing the Mandarin made for a far more interesting commentary on the state of American Culture post 911. That is way better than a racist Asian caricature. This is another such opportunity to do something interesting with an update of a character for the screen using a fantastic actor.

What makes Mordo is he is in service to a Demon to get power, the insignificant details of how he got his title to have political influence are minor. As minor as Nick Fury needing to have been a WW2 vet,so yes making him black did change his back story, it changed things so he could have the story in Winter Soldier about his Grandfather being an elevator operator, a job reserved for people of colour at the time. These things jettisoned minor details to create more relevant and up to date back stories.
