What examples do you have of him hitting speedsters that don’t involve AOE attacks? He very clearly couldn’t react to the likes of Quicksilver without smashing the ground around him.

In any case, getting hit by Quicksilver is not the same as getting hit by Superman.

He doesn't need to be remotely that fast to react to Thor who has speed slower than most street level characters.

It any case, Superman can perceive things at FTL speeds, has reacted within nanoseconds before (and has numerous statements supporting his ability to do so) and has fought Wonder Woman and Superboy Prime while flying at FTL speeds. I'd say he can definitely move at around lightspeed.

Fair enough. You can't deny however that the stuff being produced about Superman under Tomasi is better than virtually anything produced by the New 52.
