I liked all 3 for different reasons. The trilogy is still a great trilogy.

@sinestro_GL: I'd disagree with that too.

There would have been no TAS and probably not even the Nolan films as we know them to day if it wasn't for the Burton movies. The modern pop culture of Batman owes a lot to the Burton movies.

Batman Begins started the entire reboot craze that is keeping Hollywood 'alive', and The Dark Knight influenced Skyfall and Star Trek Into Darkness, I could pull some more out. I'm not saying that they didn't, but not as much as Nolan's.

I just finished watching the Trilogy right now. I was much more critical of these films during viewing than I would normally be specifically with this thread in mind. This is how I rate these 3: Batman Begins is the second best film of the bunch and the second best Batman film. The Dark Knight is the best film and the best Batman film, in terms of plot, script, and acting. The Dark Knight Rises is third in both categories because of plot holes, and Bane and the League of Shadows being just so underwhelming... Just one mans opinion.

ALOT of those ''plot-holes'' have been debunked. Many are note even plot-holes at all.

Begins was my favorite Nolan Bat-movie. TDK was only rated better because of Heath and Freeman (Always the boss).

Burton did a better job with Batman (1989) and Returns was better the TDKR.

None of the Burton Batman movies even come close to TDKR IMO, not even close.

One thing's for sure, the Bat-Mania caused by the Burton films was far higher than the intrigue caused by the Nolan films.

LOL. No.

I would have assumed that having a 'Fresh-Prince' avatar, you would know more about pop-culture from the early 90s, and late 80s...guess not.

Don't be made that people liked the Nolan films...

I do. But the who craze over the Nolan movies, especially TDK is greater than that of the Burton movies.

@deaditegonzo: Garfield was too 'emo' if you know what I mean. I mean, why did Peter Parker have a skateboard?

They modernized Parker, a lot like Ultimate Spider-man did. Honestly, I have a preference for the 616 universe, and from my younger days something of a bias against skateboarding, but when I just look at them as a movie, and judge Garfield by how he plays the version of the character he is, I think ASM performs really well.

For me, SM2 > ASM > SM1, and then there is no other Spider-man films.

You forgot Spider-Man 3. LOL. But oh well...

I felt for Tobey's Spider-Man more. He seemed like more of a nerd and put more depth into the character IMHO, I cared for him more.

I'm leaning more towards the first one.

Why?

Personally I disagree. I think SM1 is better than TASM, but SM2 just took everything from SM1 and developed it further.

I'm sorry but it still is. TASM was good, I enjoyed it - not too sure on Garfield though. But I don't agree that it was better than Spider-Man 2, that movie was brilliant. The acting, emotion, character-development, story-line, etc. It all worked and clicked, still one of the greatest super-hero movies of all time.

I know I might be in the minority since it's the Vine, but does anyone agree?
