This site is broken

The only time I can do anything on here is when I am home using my Mac. If I am not using a Mac and Firefox nothing works correctly. When I go to any page it automatically drops down to the bottom of the page every time and sometimes once I have scrolled up it will drop me again. The video will not play and when I try not make changes to my profile the words are on top of each other and sometimes it even goes on without you; like you hit enter even though you didn't. It says I have mail even thought I do no it takes 2 or 3 days to update my inbox and the linking from site to site works half the time as well.

Creating Your Own Comic? Want The World To Know? I Can help!

I do comic reviews and well all kinds of stuff on YouTube.  I have been asked a couple of times if I would review up and coming comic creators work including Radical Comics which I recieve books from monthly.  It's hard to break into the industry and I have no problem helping someone get the word out there about what YOU have poured you blood, sweat and tears into.

I thought it would be cool to have an outlet for works people haven't heard about but should know about!  There needs to be a place for the little guy and I would like to offer this to the community.

I love Indie titles and wish more focus was put toward these types of books.

So if you have something you'd like to get out there would be more than happy to help present you to the world.  It's free by the way!  Just send me a message on here if you want to shoot something my way.  I look forward to seeing your work!

Anyone else in Texas?

live in Texas to be more specific Gun Barrel City (great name, eh?) it's an hour east of Dallas.  I was hoping to find more people that are in this area.  It gets pretty old having to get online to find people you have something in common with and dealing with the jerks in person that just don't get it.

So that's it I just wanted to see if anyone else was near my crazy location. I look forward to getting to know whoever it is lol.

Career Change

I've been going to college for far too long but the journey is almost at an end.  I know what I want to do and have a job waiting for me.  But the problem is my current job which I have suffered through for four years is getting on my nerves sooooooooo badly that I can hardly stomach showing up anymore.  The work, the people even the god damn paint on the wall is closing in on me at a rapid pace.

I don't have much longer, months only in fact.  It's just funny that 2 years ago I hated this place and wanted to leave. But now that it's almost over it's even harder to put up with then it was 2 years ago.

Can't wait for my two week notice though.. I plan on raising hell and getting everything off my chest. Any of you going through this  same thing?

Wife & Action Figure Collection

I have a wife who whole heartedly supports my comic habit. But I'm wanting to get back into action figure collecting.

I have a closet where I have all my "nerdy" stuff in my office and I'm afraid when I get back into the figures that my collection will need  to expand OUT!!

So I was wanting to know from all of you if you had an interesting or funny compromise or something you have to do in order for you to continue enjoying your inner child?

So wish me luck and happy hunting to all!

WTF!? Aspen

Maybe I need to be further educated about this company maybe not I don't know. But what the hell takes them so long to produce comics??? I know there are delays in the comic world, it just comes with the territory. But the guilty party I am referring to pushes delays to the limit. Let's take for example Fathom: Blue Descent it was supposed to come out in May It actually came out on September 20th!!! What do they have like 6 titles total? Why so looooooong? I know they were doing a little restructuring but come on.

What is J.T. Krull the only employee over there now? I mean I see Green Arrow has been coming out monthly and Soulfire keeps making it on time Are they taking too much time out of the day still crying over Michael Turner? Absence makes the heart grow fonder but not in this case. This just pisses me off. Once a month is long enough but this is just annoying. When the next issue does come out I have to re read the previous ones to remember what the story is. Then I get excited because it is a good story but again I have to wait 6 months before I get the rest of the story. It's not like I'm asking for alot here IT IS THEIR JOB!!!

Do you hate this as much as I do? Is there another series out there that constantly delays like this that drives you crazy?

Comic Book Readers Don't Get Respect

Is it the wheelchair? The fro? Oh...yeah that's a comic book in my hand
I don't think comic book readers get enough respect. I read and collect comic books and memorabilia and I'm not afraid to admit that.  But when I do admit this I get strange looks I get laughed at I get the raised eyebrow and the "really?" with a stupid smirk.  I  have a passion for something and a hobby what's wrong with that? I like to read and can appreciate art, wow I am a weirdo.
You mean with the pictures?

Batman: The Dark Knight It grossed $1,001,921,825 and is ranked 7th as the highest ranking films worldwide. It didn't get all that money from comic lovers alone.   It's cool for everyone to see the movies about comic characters but so crazy to think someone might  actually want read the comic that made the movie possible in the first place.  Freaking ridiculous.

Some people still think comics are for kids no that's Trix.  Comics have covered everything under the sun in their stories that certainly should not be seen by young kids.People ask me well how is it a story don't they just say boom crack and whoosh? Yeah that's right I pay 2 to 3.99 an issue to read boom over 32 pages give me a break. It's just like a book it just takes longer to get to the end because of the small page count.  I try to show this to people but they get all oh that's ok I get it and blow me off.

Now on to collecting.  Collecting the comics is cool for many reasons.  Everyone collects something I just happen to collect comics so get off my case. I don't make fun of the Nascar plates on your wall so leave my silver age Aquaman collection alone! A comic book collection is something you can pass down to your children in fact that's how I got started.  It's also neat because you can look back over the issues and depending on topic, clothes or hell the price it takes you back in time it's history in your hands people!  I know alot of people spend alot of money to go to museums and watch the history channel and I know all of us set through countless classes all about history.  But oh no not comics that's just kids stuff that I need to grow out of.

Readin?
Memorabilia: I don't have alot I wish I could get more but I don't think I could get away with having my house look like the Bat Cave. Sports collections include player statues, action figures, signs, clothes, videos, replicas, bats, balls, things that get signed by the famous person umm let's see everything the comic book world has so what's the difference both also have items that are worth alot of money. Why can't they be on the same playing field?

So in closing everyone has somethnig they get "nerdy" over it's called passion and passion is good thing even if you have it for Nascar plates.  Can't we all just get along?
