I recieved the $50 gift certificate from Comic Vine for 2nd place in the "Comic Vine is at War" contest.
I've used it to purchase the 40 years of Avengers found here:
I've been slowly ordering backstock of comics whose series I'm hoping to complete or flesh out. This month its Defenders.
Since I'm most interested in reading the story over collecting I usually buy at the cheaper quality grades.

My DVD copy of "40 Years of the X-men" arrived today. I now have PDF copies of every X-men issue from #1 (with Magneto, Sept 1963) to #461 (Mojo Rising, Aug 2005).
Many comic summaries are sure to follow now that this has arrived.
So I looked at the list of issues from the New York ComicCon about World War Hulk. It seems the series will involve 35 issues. I'm not sure if I can commit to 35 issues.
I have a partner for the February contest. I'm teaming up with Fourpower.
Hellstorm #3 - Hellstorm looks for Osiris's cock.
X-Factor #4 - Frenzy attempts to kidnap Rusty Collins.
X-Factor #5 - X-Factor faces defeat at the hands of the Alliance of Evil.
Deadman #5 - Still have really no idea what is happening.
Anita Blake #3 - Anita is taken before the Master of the City.
X-Factor #2 - Beast becomes of victim of a regression experiment.
X-Factor #3 - Beast is rescued from the lab of Carl Maddicks.
X-Factor #1 - The original X-men reform to help young mutants the way Professor Xavier helped them.
Captain America #310 - A serpent society is formed and Cap tangles with Anaconda
Blade #4 - Blade kills Santa Claus...well technically an Animus demon in a store Santa. Good this comic sucks.
