Digging the redesigns, except I don't get why they keep doing Batman characters with red accents (still bitter over Nightwing, but whatever). Also not totally sold on Wonder Woman's new look yet.

I'm interested to see if this is going to be like "Earth Three" where the same characters are just displaced to the future, or are they the future versions of these characters. Isn't the Legion of Superheroes from the year 3000? Isn't that when Kid Flash is from? If they don't tie into continuity I feel like they're being lazy.

I also agree with the comments that they should be focused on fixing their current titles instead of coming up with new ones that just rehash the same ideas (whatever the JL does in 3000 is going to be very similar to the regular title, just MAYBE some new villains - but probably not). I still don't understand how people can be hired on some of these existing books that are just so clearly not talented enough...

I understand where this is coming from. To an extent the collateral damage was out of character - more so in Smallville than Metropolis, though. In Metropolis the machine was already ravaging that area. Yeah, it's not a safe bet to assume everyone's evacuated or dead already, but the main areas of the fighting were already pretty well destroyed by the machine. And in the heat of that battle, I totally buy the amateur hero thing.

As for the ending - why doesn't Superman kill? No - I know he doesn't because it's part of his moral system - but why is it there? What's the character choice that leads him to so strongly oppose killing? Because it's right, sure. But he's SUPERMAN. He'll be fighting impossible odds all the time with hardly any equal because of his raw power. The death at the end is why he will (hopefully) refuse to kill in the future. That was one of the most powerful moments in the film and EVERYONE in the theater seemed to be holding their breath and hoping that something else would happen.

But it didn't. Superman had to kill Zod or he would never have stopped, and that's something that will weigh on this incarnation through the rest of the films.

@jangcrow: Really? Kind of not doing it for me...I saw he's been doing more of Wonder Woman too lately and I'm not sure how I feel about him taking over from Chiang and Williams when I like their art SO much...

@mr__messy_face: I disagree with pretty much every casting choice you made haha. i don't have a list in my head, but the only ones of those that seemed decent were Supes and WW.

Also, wouldn't it make more sense for them to be introducing them in solo movies to say "here's who these people are" rather than trying to get people to know all of these different characters at once? I get that Superman will sort of draw people to Justice League, but people still recognize these characters. Give them a chance to learn to care about them before throwing them all together. I don't think that Avengers would have been nearly as good if our introduction to Thor was him landing on the quinjet and stealing Loki.

@granitesoldier: All the spider-man properties are Fox and not part of MCU

Just a comment on reviews overall here, but I feel like all of the scores are inflated. I mean if a book has actual flaws (i.e. being predictable, getting sick of certain banter), especially in a way that's not 100% transient for a given issue, shouldn't that prevent it from hitting a perfect score? Just saying...

Why does this have to turn into a p!$$ing match about who gets what characters? Both of these franchises have HUGE casts. Yeah there's plenty of overlap, but there are so many other great characters to bring in. I mean how big was Black Widow before she showed up in IM2? Just a waste of time and resources... Also, I overall lost a lot of respect for Whedon after listening to his Avengers movie commentary.

Some strange consistency things. Catwoman back in Justice League of America? Power Girl and Huntress showing up on the cover of Earth 2? Sinestro back in a yellow ring? Joker back so soon? Also, wasn't Trinity War supposed to be the first major crossover? Guess if it's not getting a separate limited run title that makes sense...

I just can't get over that cover. I mean...he's just practically copping a squat right on anyone's face who looks at him.
